Hook this into a 2007 Honda Accord and it works great! Get the 9 in 1 wire to simplify your signal hookups

I installed this in a 2016 Mazda CX-5 to upgrade the rather muddy and disappointing factory system, entirely replacing all 9 factory speakers, including the 2 subwoofers in the doors. I used an additional external amplifier to drive the new subwoofers and kept the factory Bose amplifier to driver the remaining 7 speakers (the CX-5 has 2 subs). At first this setup sounded horrible due to what I believe was the factory head unit dropping off the bass as the volume increased even though I now had subwoofers that put the OEM subs to shame. Whatever was reaching the subwoofers was simply not a quality signal and the new Alpine amplifier was making matters worse. I decided to try this LC7i unit based on a recommendation from someone that had a higher end model of this. I hooked this up inline between the head unit and secondary Alpine amplifier that drives the subwoofers only. The result was vastly improved sound quality coming from the subwoofers as it returned the distorted signal coming from the factory head unit to a usable signal that the Alpine amp could cleanly use. I opted to keep the factory head unit simply because its so integrated now its not worth the hassle to upgrade the head unit. I suspect if I was to use this in some fashion to pass the front and rear speakers through it, it would improve my situation further, but for now the system is sounding very good and I am impressed with this unit. The external control to be able to easily control the bass signal is on my list of things to add and I think it will be a welcome additional. Would buy again.

Product worked exactly like it should ! 4 stars because it came with some writing on the inside and a couple of bent capacitors, however it does the job! For anyone who doesnt know, remember you have to run speaker wire from the amp back to your headunit and tie in there or run new wire to wherever your speakers are.

This is by far the best the number 1 thing you need of you are trying to install aftermarket amp and speakers into a new car without having to take the factory radio out of it. New cars and trucks don’t come with RCA’s to hookup an amp and most higher end cars and trucks have the signal already crossed over so that it works well with the factory speakers they put in. Without this, there’s no way o put the signal together after it’s been crossed over. Extremely happy with this purchase. Thank you again

I had fun working with the lc7i. I used to have cheap line out converters running to my amps (front door speakers, dash tweeters, and subwoofer). The difference is huge. There is a clearer, more vibrant sound stage than I had before. Since the lc7i is active (needs 12v power supply), you get a cleaner, more powerful signal than with a cheaper line out converter. I ended up having to turn the gain to minimum on my amps because of the great signal this puts out. No clipping or noise in my case. The bass boost actually works and subwoofer sounds bigger than it used to, without overloading. I trunk mounted mine with all my other audio stuff. Summed the signals for a cleaner output. There are better more expensive options with equalizer options. For the price this product is awesome.

So I did some research on this product and this is what I found out about the static and damaging to your amp issues that some people are having on the bad reviews.....READ THE INFO............... If you’ve checked all your connections, the AudioControl line converter has the power light on, you’ve confirmed that audio is playing out of your factory head unit and the amps are on, BUT you STILL don’t have audio, there is a good chance your factory system is not outputting any audio due to the fact that our Line Converters do not put a load on the speaker outputs. Meaning, since there is no resistance on on the high level speaker lines, the amp doesn’t think that there is a speaker connected to it, so it won’t output a signal. This is a perfect opportunity to plug our brand new AC-LGD! It will stabilize your factory system by putting the optimal load on the factory outputs so your system can sound the best it can!

Did not work for the Sony Navigation sync system in my 2011 Taurus SHO. This car required a much more expensive Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.3 $600
