> 3 dayThese are nice large rods, and they work, but they are fairly hard so you dont get such good sparks as some better rods.

> 3 dayBought the matching strikers and they work well together. Used some paracord to attach them and attach to other things as well. The predrilled holes worked great for running the paracord through.

> 3 dayLong ferro rod makes it easier to hold than the shorter ones. Sparks VERY well and long lasting. I added a 550 cord wrist loop to handle it even better while raking it. The price is excellent when you buy the 2 bundle together.

> 3 dayLove this firesteel. Ive had a few smaller ones from other brands in the past that were so small they were tedious to use, wore out quick, and just didnt perform as advertised. This one is far more comfortable snd reliable, even with gloves on. Excellent spark showers once the coating is scraped away. Ive seen conflicting reviews about whether it just throws sparks or will also cast molten gobs that burn for a few seconds. In my testing, the amount of force used determines which result you get. First firesteel Ive been happy with. Will buy again.
