These are the Cadillac of the ferro rods imho, buy once cry once !

My rods arrived quickly and on schedule. They are bigger than I expected. They strike a very hot coal and seem to be adequate to holding up to at least a thousand strikes per rod. I cant wait to experiment in the field, especially in wet conditions. Pleased with my purchase.

The price was acceptable , the quality seems great so far . Throws big fat sparks well . Am thinking of ordering more .

The paint coating on these things is super thick. Some might like that, but I would say its too much. You really have to spend some time stripping the paint off before use.

These work very well for their intended purpose. I got a striker for them and thru work great together.
