Great projector! Purchased this projector to replace a Mitshibishi one I had for years and it didn’t have 4K. This projector with 4K has such a great picture I don’t know why I didn’t purchase it sooner. Very happy with the product. :)

The projection is great but it is not user friendly. Adjusting this projector is more difficult than it should be. The Google stick that it comes with doesn’t have Netflix.

I bought a house with a media room and state of the art JVC. Or so they say. After hours of troubleshooting, I decided to buy the BenQ. The only bad thing, the throw point was different from the JVC. Had to move the mount location on the ceiling. But, after it was all done, the colors and resolution are outstanding. I would like a little more brightness, but it will work. Had a lot of folks over the other night and watched Mulan. It was outstanding !!

Brilliant Black Levels, Very short throw,Dynamic Iris is a very important add on. Lacking on Brightness. Does not support Dolby Digital/DTS Audio 5.1 on Digital Toshlink out. Ideal for small spaces but must have a for very Dark Room to enjoy. Overall its a Good Home Cinema projector.

This projector is simply fantastic. The image, design and feature set (zoom, lens shift, no light border etc) make this guy a winner. 4K films are simply incredible, blacks are inky black thanks to its dynamic iris, and HDR support truly makes for an excellent viewing experience. Great value for the money. The only thing I dont like about this exceptional projector is the optical output is only stereo. Not sure what Benq was thinking when this decision was made. Its seems silly to design such a fantastic machine, then limit it to Stereo output via its toslink port. I had to purchase a sound extractor device to strip the 5.1 sound from HDMI, and then pipe the sound from the device to my surround system. This was an inconvenience, and unnecessary expense, when Benq could have simply incorporated 5.1 Surround out of the toslink port. Wishful thinking I know, but hopefully a future firmware release will turn on surround sound from the optical port. Hopefully it is a firmware limitation....albeit quite unlikely. That is the only fault I have with the projector. I hope this review helps anyone contemplating this projector.

Amazing picture. Quality is amazing, sound from the fans are very low to unnoticeable. As they clearly state, mounting options are quite slim; especially horizontally. But if you are buying and using a 4k projector, you should know there is some difficulty getting the perfect mount positions. Resolution is so good I constantly notice how cheap my screen is..... =O

Dead on arrival, power on to immediate red flashing light with no picture at all. I would avoid this at all costs! DO NOT BUY!!!!!!

I have over 2400 hours on this unit and it’s been great. I only had issues once when using for 12 ish hours continually. I think it overheated and malfunctioned for an hour or so. The reason I am writing this review is because I just got an Xbox Series X and had the following problem: the main Xbox menu worked fine, but when I went to play Amy game or open any video streaming app, I got a black screen. Solution : press the HDR button on remote and turn from auto to off. This allows me to use the Xbox. Before making this change, changing the Xbox output resolution to 4k would cause all picture to go away ( even the main menu). With HDR turned off, I can change output to 4k and it works. The problem seems to be that I need to turn HDR off every time I use it now which is a pain. But it’s a fix.

Be amazed by authentic HDR intense binge watching and sports viewing experiences -- even in well-lit rooms. It’s easy with TK850i 4K HDR smart home projector powered by Android TV. Glide through simple set up, then kick back and enjoy 100”+ projected 4K UHD 8.3 million pixel pictures and stellar audio. Whether it’s your first home theater projector or an upgrade, you’re sure to love TK850i with Google-certified Android TV sporting events, movies, and games from the Google Play Store.
