> 3 dayThe projector is great, however I purchased a new unit and received a refurbished unit and was told I could not get a replacement for it. I was also told by the amazon rep that Ben q would honor their 3 year warranty even though it was refurbished. I spoke to benq and they denied this. Unless it was reconditioned by Ben q themselves they will not honor the product warranty. To top all this the unit did not come with a power cord. After using the power cord from my existing projector I noticed a flicker on certain scenes and a 2” green line on the bottom center of the screen. Please be aware of what you receive.

> 3 dayDon’t buy a BenQ projector. My HT3550 broke twice. The first time the fan broke, and I was sent a replacement a few weeks later. The second time it broke the bulb randomly exploded filling the inside with broken glass. Both experienced dead pixels. BenQ’s customer service is absolutely terrible. BenQ ruined my dream of having a home theater.

> 3 dayI cant believe home amazing this picture is. Combined with a 4k ultra hd bluray player with HDR10 and a 4k receiver the picture has vibrant colors and deep blacks. Even with regular bluray movies the picture is awesome, but nothing beats a 4k movie. Its always better to watch a movie in a dark room, but you can with alittle bit of ambient light coming in. I would much rather buy from Amazon, theyre return policy is much better than anyone else. I did have a hard time positioning the projector to the screen. Just remember the lense needs to be directly placed in the middle of the screen. I have a 120 inch screen and sit 20 feet away . its a perfect size for that distance. The projector comes calibrated already from BenQ which is nice. You can always play with the picture options to your liking. I had some video lag with the voice with the lamp set on eco mode and vivid mode. As soon as i set it back to D.Cinema and lamp at normal it went away . Google and forums on BenQ troubleshooting really helped me alot. For the money and the options you wont find a bettter picture . *****Update***** Ive had this projector now for 8 months and have had absolutely zero problems. I still love the picture it projects. Bluray movies looking amazing, but I only buy 4k movies.

> 3 dayProjector works great, but the Android TV is nothing but trouble. No Netflix, Hulu lags, it has trouble connecting, and a pain to set up. Youre better off getting a Chromecast. Plus its cheaper than the $100 upgrade. Android TV is a BenQ HDMI dongle with Chromecast on it. It plugs in to the inside (a hidden third HDMI port) and is powered on when the projector powers on. If you were to buy the new Chromecast it would work just the same except youd have to use an outside HDMI port. Customer service on the BenQ website is slow and they offer no solutions. They went right to replacing under warranty which takes weeks unless they put a hold on you card for quick shipment. The guy didnt suggest updating the firmware or projector which was pretty easy, but could also be hard for some.

> 3 dayIt is pretty noisy. The picture is great for the price point but after only 2 days I lost a portion of the screen to bad pixels. Update: after receiving my second unit, it came used. Nothing was in the original packaging and when I turned it on the lamp had 194 hours of run time on it. It sucks because it takes 37 days AFTER the return is received before you get a refund. So now I am out thousands of dollars and need to order a 3rd unit. I feel it only fair that I have to drop my review to 1 star.

> 3 dayI love this projector, for the cost, what you get, its great. But also with the price point, you get absolute trash customer support and warranty through benq. I have sent this projector to them multiple times for random things. Had a Fan die, when it came back, the color wheel was having issues, when it came back the next time, I noticed there was a screw and broken pieces of plastic rolling around inside the projector, they had also broken one of the main case supports. So, I sent it back again....the next time I got it back, all seemed ok....until today....my lamp is at 973 hours....the first one lasted me 5700....and now my lamp is flickering and dying....Humm. so, I opened it up because I have a spare lamp, and I find out that some idiot has replaced my lamp mounting screws with some kind of standard computer fan screws! They drilled out the holes on the lamp but didnt bother drilling out the mounting holes on the projector itself! So every single new lamp I get, I have to modify to make it work! It doesnt even mount up properly, i have no idea how they have got away with this kind of customer support for so long but wow. I am floored. Worst support i have ever experienced in my life. As of now, I have sent them another less than pleasing email expressing my disdain and asking for my original mounting screws back.
