> 3 dayI used to drool over the 4k projectors and think to myself that it will be forever before I am ready to spend enough money on one. I owned the HT2050 until the HDMI ports got toasted by a nearby lightning strike and loved it. I had looked at the newer models from Benq but was not impressed with certain things they took away from them or added to them. I stumbled upon the 3550 just as it was being released and my jaw hit the floor. I finally had time to get it hooked up on a 180 screen with 4K and it blew me away! I didnt want to go to bed last night or work today. Just wanted to lock myself in the media room. I dont think you can find a better projector for the price of this one. My only complaint thus far is that it seems a bit loud during quiet scenes, but I am sitting under it.

> 3 daySo.. my Epson 5350 started having this screaming alarm when i would put in a new bulb.. decided to get a 4k.. first got the cheap epson (cant recall model but you cant get a good focus over the whole screen, sent it back) The Benq has a great picture... zero complaints.. Cept the fan is very loud.. 12-21-21 So.. i have a stuck pixel, luckily its near the edge on the right but its there and annoys me..i have tried Pixel fixers and they didnt help..This is easily the worst projector i have ever owned. I own 3 mitsubishis going back over 10 years and all 3 still work perfectly. BENQs picture quality doesnt matter if they make them loud and with dead pixels. I wish i had sent this back when i could have... DO NOT BUY ONE! So..

> 3 dayThis review is for the GP500 model. Wow, this is a tremendous projector. I dont think I can ever go back to watching moves on my normal sized TVs. The picture quality is outstanding. The clarity on a huge 125 screen is mind blowing. The color contrast is excellent, bright scenes will make you squint your eyes and the dark scenes are very cinematic looking. The projector still does well even with a little ambient light, but its fully glory is only seen in total darkness. The sound is excellent, surprisingly. I can postpone my need for a sound bar (for now). All the features such as auto focus, auto keystone, etc are very helpful, though not perfect. I found the auto-keystone not working great when the projector is at a long distance and off-center. When the projector is closer it seems to work well. The projector is relatively light and small, so its easy to move around and position. Overall, I am REALLY impressed. I hope this projector will last a long long time. Theres only 2 hdmi ports, which is fine enough, I will end up needing an hdmi switch to hook up more things to this projector though. This projector is also LED, so it should last quite a long time. I will update this review in the future if the projector does not hold up well.

16-11-2024Things great. Just make sure you center it on the screen prior to screwing anything down .

> 3 daySo we purchased this and got a dead pixel a few months later. We sent it back on RMA and got it back a couple weeks later. It worked for about a week and then a different pixel went dead. We tried to just love with it, but then a 3rd dead pixel. We just sent it back off today. The Epson we had never had an issue for 5 years, this has already been repairs twice and still getting dead pixels. I was very hopeful because of the good review, but if you have to send it in every 3-4 months, it really isnt a good deal. I hope they give us back a good one.

Greater than one weekLove this projector! Replaced an aging, BenQ W1070 1080p projector with the HT3550, and could not be happier. Fits the same as the W1070 in my slightly smaller room, and produces a brilliant sharp 4k image. Movies and 4k content is spectacular. HDR required a firmware update out of the box. (1.0.3 to 1.0.5) that resolved HDR coloration issues to my satisfaction. Gaming works very well. Was a little worried about lag going in with the listed (~50ms) lag, but found it to be perfectly acceptable for couch console stlye gaming. No noticable difference in play to that of a standard 4k tv. Tested 3D content on Blu-ray and it worked beautifully with plenty of light and a bright image. At this price and feature level I highly recommend it!

> 3 dayI cant believe home amazing this picture is. Combined with a 4k ultra hd bluray player with HDR10 and a 4k receiver the picture has vibrant colors and deep blacks. Even with regular bluray movies the picture is awesome, but nothing beats a 4k movie. Its always better to watch a movie in a dark room, but you can with alittle bit of ambient light coming in. I would much rather buy from Amazon, theyre return policy is much better than anyone else. I did have a hard time positioning the projector to the screen. Just remember the lense needs to be directly placed in the middle of the screen. I have a 120 inch screen and sit 20 feet away . its a perfect size for that distance. The projector comes calibrated already from BenQ which is nice. You can always play with the picture options to your liking. I had some video lag with the voice with the lamp set on eco mode and vivid mode. As soon as i set it back to D.Cinema and lamp at normal it went away . Google and forums on BenQ troubleshooting really helped me alot. For the money and the options you wont find a bettter picture . *****Update***** Ive had this projector now for 8 months and have had absolutely zero problems. I still love the picture it projects. Bluray movies looking amazing, but I only buy 4k movies.
