> 3 dayIt cleans the water very well, and is easy to replace when I change water in the tank. Goldfish were not the best choice for my 9 gallon cylindrical tank, as they require more frequent changing of the filter, but I still like it.

> 3 dayThe product comes as described and is very easy to replace. The filters last me a lot longer than they state to last, especially if you feed your fish pellet food.

> 3 dayFrom this photo that biOrb supplied I had no idea what was in this package. Im writing this review today to help my fellow biOrb friends understand that this is what you replace the bottom filter with every 4 months. I actually had such a difficult time understanding where the filter was for this tank and even had to google it. So let me save you the time and explain how to change the filter! This is the first time Im changing this myself due to I bought my tank used. You simply twist out the bubble piece and the whole tube comes out with the filter attached at the bottom. This was the EASIEST filter change Ive ever had to do. Once you have the tube off you once again twist the bottom piece to the right and the old filter comes off. Throw that away and the new one twists on. Put it back in the tank and allow the water to fill and then simply twist to the right and you are all set to go!! I love this tank and wouldnt trade it for anything. I have included a few photos to show what comes with the package and what it looks like. I also recommend the Ceramic Media for your tank! See my other reviews for additional info!

Greater than one weekGreat to be able to order the Service kit when none of the BiOrb items are available in PetSmart anymore and Petco never heard of it. Nice to have a source I can rely on to have exactly what I need, when I need it.

> 3 dayIt irks me to pay $10 a piece for these kits, when I know I can refill them with 50 cents worth of charcoal myself and rinse the sponge. However, after doing just that for a while, I have switched back to the kits. Its worth the money for the convenience, and Spot (my goldfish) gets slightly cleaner water, which makes her happy. The 6-packs are cost-effective, and after the second swap, I forget about the cost and appreciate the ease of changing them out. On the other hand, the design and engineering of the filter pack is truly horrid (whether you use the kit or not), and the difficulty of getting the tabs to line up and lock in place makes every filter change a hassle. If you dont yet have a Biorb system, I would highly recommend you dont get one. You will be locked into a system of overpriced, yet poorly designed accessories. Too bad, because they are beautiful to look at.
