> 3 dayIts a fish filter. It does its job. Why the hell it is inset in the bottom of the tank and not through the middle of the tube or something I dont know. It is a pain in the arse to keep the rocks out and get the base snapped back in. And if you have a planted tank, which is hard but doable, its really hard to see and make sure you arent hurting any of your animals. If the base portion was a little higher or the bottom half of the tub instead of the base it would be easier and just as effective.

> 3 dayReef-One claims this filter needs to be changed every month, which is ridiculous. I think they lose a lot of potential customers this way. I rinse the filter out in old tank water during partial water changes, and replace the charcol they provide with a little charcol from a $5 jug purchased at PetSmart. I check my water quality (nitrite and nitrate) every 2 weeks and my tank is in perfect shape.

> 3 dayGot this product today, on time to and it is a must for your aquarium. A little advice for everyone one out there, dont use to much ceramic media in your biorb to stretch the life of the filter. Other than that its definitely wise to stock up on this item.

> 3 dayBuying the service kit rather than just the pieces made life easier. It comes with everything you need to service your bi-orb. I especially like that they provide a water clarifier.

> 3 dayI enjoyed this product UNTIL I decided to use the water conditioner. My fish were dead within hours. The water conditioner DOES NOT work! I wish I would have used my regular water conditioner, but it’s too late now. I am so upset with this product!
