> 24 hourIm really surprised with this Black and Decker steam mop, and not in a good way. The mop is so stripped down. It functions, but its really lacking. -You get 1 mop pad. It is so thin and cheap it feels disposable. The mop pad sticks with a velcro-like strip onto the bottom of the mop head. Its not a very good pad at all and it just doesnt feel secure enough to really clean well. I actually had better luck using bonnet style steam mop pads that fit over the whole mop head. I had some left over from an old steam mop and they seemed to work better than what came with the Black and Decker mop. Also interesting is that the mop pad that this came with wasnt even the striped pads it shows on the box and in the listing images. I got a solid white pad that is super thin. -The mop is not free standing, it falls over if you dont prop it against something. -The water tank is built into the body of the steamer. If you dont have deep sinks, its a total hassle to fill. The instructions says not to leave water in it, so it is also annoying to empty if you have water left over in it when you are done mopping since you have to tip the whole mop. - The cord is short. REALLY way too short. Its frustrating to have to unplug this and find another outlet just to make it across the room. -The back of the steam mop has 1 hook to hang the cord. There is no bottom cord keeper to loop it around. Why so stripped down? -To make the 1 cord keeper hook situation even worse, the end of the plug has no prong on it to snap it onto the cord when you are done wrapping it to keep everything in place. Seriously, how are you supposed to keep the cord in order on this, short of tying it in a knot? ------------------------------------------------------ On the plus side, the machine is easy to use. -It has one switch to turn the steam mop on and another switch to turn the steam function on/off. -The handle is pretty comfortable to use and it puts out a decent amount of steam. -Its lightweight. -It can safely be used on hardwood and tile floors. Overall, it WORKS, but there are a lot of little things that make this feel like Black and Decker really skimped on the design and make it troublesome to use. If you are on a tight budget, this does work, but its almost better just to save for an upgrade since you will immediately have to make an additional purchase for more mop pads with this model anyway. Mediocre.

> 24 hourClean floors are my thing!!! I dont know why anyone is still using an old-fashioned mop. This one is perfect for now because it is eco-friendly and kills germs/bacteria/viruses. Its lightweight and very simple to use. The pads can be washed and reused. The white color goes with every possible home decor. Its slim, so it can be mounted behind a door. I HIGHLY recommend this steam mop. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this review. I hope the information that Ive provided makes your decision a little easier.

> 24 hourFirst time steam mop user here - and all I can think of is why the heck didnt I get one of these sooner! It made one of my least favorite tasks kind of fun. It cleans really well and it only takes a few seconds for it to be ready to use. The one thing I have to warn about is that the cord is a bit on the short side. I kept reading about that when I was getting ready to buy, and I just figured everyone was living in a huge house or something.. but no, I can definitely say the cord is weirdly short. Even in my small area, I have to use an extension cord to get the whole floor. So, if you do buy one (and I do recommend it) be sure to get a little extension cord to go with it. Another thing to note is that the water tank isnt removable (its like an iron in that respect). I found the best way to fill up the tank is to use a measuring cup.

> 24 hourThis mop didn’t even last 10 months! This mop ends up not working. It starts up and then it stops, and so on. What a waste of money! Black and Decker sells cheap mops so yourself a favor and do not buy this product. I spent this much money on a mop who can’t even work for a year!

> 24 hourThe steam is good but the cord is too short which adds more work having to unplug and replug to clean other sides of the house. It’s tiring could’ve have been better.

> 24 hourNo where to store the cord except to let it hang. The cord length is not very long. I guess this is why the instructions go over the safety concerns of using an extension cord

> 24 hourThis thing has so many problems it’s hard to start but the main two that make this a return is no place to store the cord because they only put one hook on it and the cord is only 12 feet long. Even too short for my small home. It’s getting returned.

> 24 hourThis mop worked great on the floor, was lightweight, and as other reviewers have said, it takes corners very well! Turns very smoothly. Unfortunately, they really did not design the water tank well at all & it was a deal breaker for me. The tank cannot be removed from the body to fill it, and filling it in unit is awkward for a person with mobility issues...and also importantly, it cannot be then turned upside down to dry well before storage. This means you are putting a damp inside item in your storage closet to start smelling mildewy.
