Greater than one weekThe mop only picks up dirt where the pad is attached with velcro. Pad looked like this after mopping an entry hall, a half bath, and part of the kitchen. I’ve had furniture movers in an out of the house and contractors too. Disappointing especially because l have always trusted the Black & Decker.

> 3 dayThis black + decker steam mop is very lightweight, super easy to put together, and moves around easily. I like how it uses just water and a plug. No fancy attachments. It does a great starting steaming in less than a minute. It absolutely makes the floor clean and looks better to walk on. The mop is not free-standing, it falls over if you dont prop it against something, the cord is a little short, cord wrapping /storage is a little weird and it only comes with one pad.

> 3 dayThis mop really cleans up food spills and stains. Great for kitchens and bathrooms where you want it really clean.

> 3 dayBeing that I have never had a steam mop before, I can only compare this one to of the wide variety of regular mops I’ve owned – and for my needs, this one worked great! I have well water, so I only use distilled water in every appliance that requires water to operate; therefore, filling the tank was a non-issue for me. I just laid it down, opened it up, and poured the water in. The water heated up quickly and then I couldn’t believe how much faster and easier it was to mop my floors than using a regular mop. The best part was the tough stuff that I always had to get down and scrub with a brush – the steam took it off without any effort. I can see where the cord length could be a problem for people that have hardwood floors and have a lot of area to cover, but for me, only my bathrooms, kitchen and entryway are linoleum or tile – so the cord length wasn’t a problem. I would’ve had to move the cord no matter what and if I had a longer cord, it would’ve been in my way. Overall, I am really happy with this steam mop and I wish I had gotten one long ago.

> 3 dayFirst time steam mop user here - and all I can think of is why the heck didnt I get one of these sooner! It made one of my least favorite tasks kind of fun. It cleans really well and it only takes a few seconds for it to be ready to use. The one thing I have to warn about is that the cord is a bit on the short side. I kept reading about that when I was getting ready to buy, and I just figured everyone was living in a huge house or something.. but no, I can definitely say the cord is weirdly short. Even in my small area, I have to use an extension cord to get the whole floor. So, if you do buy one (and I do recommend it) be sure to get a little extension cord to go with it. Another thing to note is that the water tank isnt removable (its like an iron in that respect). I found the best way to fill up the tank is to use a measuring cup.

> 3 dayThis is a handy little machine. It works very well and is easy to assemble. Cord length was adequate, and I felt it cleaned my floors quickly and well - no scrubbing required. The only real issue I have with it is that the placement of the water reservoir cap is a little awkward, so filling it from a faucet is not the easiest task. Overall though, this is a great option - its the first steam mop Ive tried, and Im very happy with it.
