I bought this to cancel out the sound of snoring when I travel with friends. Sadly very loud snoring is not completely gone. Its better than anything else Ive tried so am keeping them. Im not a person to listen to music with headphones but am sure these work well and have used them on flights where they worked great. The information on the product and some reviews did say they were very noise canceling, but I dont agree

After trying out a few other headphone purchases that left me unhappy, I finally decided to try Bose after glowing recommendations from friends. I had resisted due to the lackluster physical appeal of Bose compared to other brands, but I cant express how much better the sound quality, comfort and noise cancellation were with Bose. These headphones are outstanding!

I thought these eliminated all sound other than what you can hear through them. They do not! They do a good job of eliminating some sounds in the background. I could still hear my dog barking. My wife cherping at me. I want this for or expected baby crying. Bose please make something that blocks it all! For head phones and eliminating a good amount of background noise they do rock! Sound awesome! Connect easily! And are super comfortable! Just don’t block out all noise which I though that’s what “noise canceling would do” I have a lot of nose products they do make the best for the money! Sound bars, speakers, my car stereo are all Awesome products as well.

I bought these as a gift for my parents for Christmas. I own a pair of Bose 700s and that is my basis for comparison.

Ive tried both the Sennheiser and Bose and I must say that Bose wins the trophy with the noise cancellation. I have a very loud wood shop that consists of jointer/planer, table saw, cyclone vacuum, router table just to name a few. All very loud yet while I can stand next to these machines I have no trouble listening to music at the same volume whether they are running or not. In fact the table saw being the least noisy, I have to lower the noise cancellation to a minimum(there are three settings) because I like the reference of noise with a running machine. Plus the sound quality of the music in my opinion is second to none. I would recommend these to my mother.

When i received these i could hardly wait to use them. well was i surprised to see a no boxed item with stickers all over the case. The headphones were in case minus cable and booklet and stickers and partially ripped off stickers with glue residue still on the headphones. They were all scratched up also. I didnt even want to touch them with out gloves on. Thru them back in the box with no packaging material like i received them and sent back the next day. I saw no place on the site when I ordered them that they were used and if i did I would have never ordered them as I dont buy used. As the price was good but i thought for an old discontinued model it was pretty good. Now i know why. I wont pay $300-400 for headphones as they really dont make them like they used to anymore cheap material.

I wear bilateral Phonak, over the ear, hearing aids, and needed something I could wear without creating feedback, by being enclosed in a earmuff. I tried these headphones and got minimal feedback. There was a very slight amount when I first put them on. I adjusted the volume of my hearing aids down 1 notch and the feedback disappeared. This last Sunday morning I was up before my wife, and I listened to music for 3 1/2 hours before she woke up. These will help our marriage as we dont always like the same kind of music. I can listen to what I want and she does not have to listen to Iron Maiden.
