Prints great when it doesnt jam or pull two checks/papers at one time... Cant use it for office checks because it sometimes pulls 2 checks instead of one & then the sequence is off. It wont even print 3 checks in a row without screwing up. Even printing reports, it sometimes pulls 2 sheets & jams, & that is different paper than the check paper.. So I am back at finding a printer that will print consecutive checks& not screw the sequence #s up..

Brother used to be a crappy brand but they cleaned up their act. They have received Most Reliable rating in PC Magazine for several years in a row. All I had to do was plug it in and Windows 10 loaded the drivers in seconds and I was off and printing. It runs very quiet compared to the HP I retired. Is fast and has all the needed features of a small office and at a price that is modest. Highly recommended!

Once you install BRAdmin you can manage a lot of printer settings over the network, including firmware updates.

Bought two of these as supplemental office printers thinking that Brother printers were good. But after repeated attempts to clean, replace toner cartridges, and help from the tech line the printers both make fuzzy or dirty or spotted documents. Very disappointing; getting an HP.

Great workhorse printer. We are using it for high volume printing as a backup to our other printer and it’s worked great. I wouldn’t consider it the backup printer anymore.

The printer was a breeze to setup. Ive used the USB connection (to keep tabs on who can print to it) and it was automatically detected on Windows 10. I assume that using printing over WiFi from a mobile device should be equally easy but have not tried it. There were clear instructions on how to remove the seals on the toner cartridge and I was up and running in a couple of minutes. From a cold start it takes about 10 seconds until the first page is printed. The text and images are of good quality as far as I can tell but Im not extremely demanding in that respect. This is my first laser printer at home. I like that theres a little slot in the front of the printer to quickly ascertain the loading status of the paper tray. About the only complaint that I have is that it is a bit noisy: the internal workings of the printer plus the side fan (for cooling) do add up to a bit of noise. Surprisingly the fan comes on even when printing the first page as its blowing only cold air.

Does the job- quick and effective. We have several of these and will only buy these. Great product for the price

love the fact that I can print directly from my iphone now. Might install the app on my ipad as well, so I can print from it as well when I need to.
