> 3 dayI never met a Brother printer I did not like... This printer set up easy and I love the app for my android phone.. you need to take your time and understand the difference between the Brother printers.. The model codes can be confusing at first but they are really easy to understand once you catch on..

> 3 dayLikes: Print quality is good at its price range. Consumables are relatively inexpensive for a laser printer, and have good yields. (And also has a High Yield cartridge option) Can operate on wired and wireless networks. Wakes up from sleep every time. Can print on Avery index card sheets. If it was not for the issue noted below, it would be a great value for its cost. Dislikes: If the printer isnt used for more than a few days, toner streaks appear on the first few print jobs of the day. The cleaning steps are ineffective, and the same thing happens the next day. This means that toner cartridge, and possibly also the drum unit, are defective, according to Brothers Tech Support. However, they will not replace either under the 1 year warranty, since to them, its been more than 90 days since they were purchased (both came with the printer). So Ill have to spend $180 on a $200 printer to see if this actually fixes the problem. Will definitely seek other options, and Id recommend you do the same, as this doesnt seem to be isolated to just a few of these printers.

> 3 dayThis printer is very simple to operate, connects to the computer on the go and it prints with great speed, clarity and the toner lasts you a WHILE

> 3 dayI am using this printer on an iMac and a MacBook. I have never been able to get quality printing from it. Very light print regardless of high resolution settings. I had many chats and emails with Brother personnel. Nothing they suggested worked. They have no idea what is wrong but they claim the printer is doing what it is supposed to do. I am going to have to trash this printer and buy something else. A real disappointment.

> 3 dayIts amazing, in 2016, there arent too many wireless LASER printers. Of the models available, the number one complaint is wireless connection issues. Great, the one thing you want it to do, it doesnt do well. Brother wireless laser printers are no different. This is one of their newer models, and it seems to be OK after 2 weeks of heavy use. Brother laser printers are generally rock-solid workhorses. This one seems no different. You can connect it via USB 2 (not 3 in 2016?) if you have wireless issues. The set-up is kinda straight forward, but I recommend ignoring the CD, and go to the Brother website and get the latest S/W, and Firmware Upgrade tool. Its all pretty easy, except the wireless set-up is a bit clunky. When it asks you for your wireless routers Network Key , and shows you where to find it on your router, its all nonsense. Just use your password and all is well. Yo Brother, maybe consider changing the set-up language so I could be finished in 3 min, rather that 15, because I had to Google what the heck my my Apple AirPort Extreme network key means with regard to Brother wireless printer set-up! One bloke said just use your password... BINGO!
