> 3 dayStarts up incredibly fast for a laser printer. Although Ive only printed a few copies - it seems to be very competent. I wish I would have bought something like this a long time ago.

> 3 dayI have bought 3 of these to replace office desktop printers, and so far I have not heard anything negative. No news is good news. They were easy to set up, and the print quality is good. Would buy it again.

> 3 dayThis thing is a complete piece of junk! Doesnt stay connected to the internet and goes into sleep mode very quickly and theres no way to disable sleep mode just to delay it.

> 3 dayGood: It is little noisy, but it is fast and the print quality is good. So far, I like it. Super easy WiFi setup Bad: I bought this 13 months, and it is already starting to crease the paper when it prints (duplex). That was the problem with previous brother printer this one replaced. Not buying Brother any more.

Greater than one weekWe print multiple labels each day and go through a couple printers a year. We like to try different makes and models to see which ones print the best and are the most durable. We had problems from this one conveniently enough, soon after it was too late to return it. The image drum picks up to much debris off the toner cartridge and the label sheets. We have to clean the image unit daily with a cotton swab and alcohol (as per brother tech support). This has been quite the chore and has not been required with other printers. We have wasted quite a lot of sheet labels due to poor quality printing. Couldnt take it out of service fast enough. For us, this unit was money well wasted.

Greater than one weekSpeckles and grey marks all over the printed paper make any doc hard to read. I assumed it must be a bad toner cartridge and by the time I changed it out the 30-day return period was past. Sleep mode is great when it works, but about 1/3 of the time it doesnt wake up until I disconnect and reconnect power.

> 3 dayI bought this printer hoping that a laser printer with a positive reputation would benefit my business. Unfortunately, from the first print job I have had nothing but trouble. Each print job increases the toner mess and smudges every paper. I went through the cleaning process as outlined and it helped for one print job then the smudges began appearing again, getting worse each print job. This was a colossal waste of money for my business.

> 3 dayWe may be paying a few more bucks a year printing to this over the huge high end copier in our sales area. The copier is designed for big complicated print jobs not day to day office printing so I had to constantly support it. I bought this and took away the big printer to all except those that need to print the marketing materials. The little printer cranks out the B&W copy at as good or better than the copier and saves me a crap load of hours each month.

> 3 dayThis is the most entry level of the small office laser machines from Brother that has wi-fi. The L5100DW does not have wi-fi. We have an additional individual laser printer that works great for one PC as well. The setup was super easy on Windows 10. There is an installation CD which was very user friendly. We set up three office PCs to this one printer with no problems. The toner lasts a long time - we typically use the high capacity toner and it lasts for at least a carton of paper (typically longer) so the 8000 page claim is probably accurate. Printing is fast and the duplex printing very quick and saves paper. This is a basic, no frills machine, but it does the job. I prefer the Brother laser printer/copier combos, but this is a very good machine for basic black and white printing needs for small offices / home offices.
