Great product, period. however you need to familiarize yourself with the temperature settings, change to degrees and presets, takes some getting used to. no versatility like knobs, instead of just 2 buttons they should have added a knob with a built in push button and yet still have it as digital. but still it serves its purpose well, heats up in a fraction. use sal ammoniac to keep the tip de-oxidized and get a slightly larger wedge tip, stock one is a little small but usable.

We love our new soldering station. Easy to use, and heats up quick. No complaints. Far better than our old setup.

Hakko units may be overkill for my home use, but I do love having pro equipment for my little bit of board work.

Excellent station. I use it for led work and it pleases me with every use. I think anyone will feel the same after a few uses. Many smiles

OK, lets get this out of the way: This is not a professional iron. I am fortunate enough to be able to use 2 Metcal soldering stations at work... now THOSE are professional soldering irons. However, for home use, for the price (approximatley 1/8 the cost of a Metcal station), this is an unbelievable buy. Ive only had mine several weeks but have been extremely impressed so far. If the long term performance holds up, then I will be an exceptionally satisfied customer. It heats up very quickly, the tip temperature is accurate and easily controlled. The tips appear to be of high quality (the included tip, while sufficient for everyday soldering, isnt big enough for big jobs, and it way too big for SMD work; I purchased a T18S3P for bigger jobs). The included dikes are also very nice.

wow it works great. Wire bad and sponge are great. I added a sticky back sand paper to the side of the unit. Keep the tip clean is the trick. I wish I had bought this years ago.

Excellent product

The soldering machine is very well built, sturdy and easy to use. It is amazing how fast it heats up to the set temperature. So far so good.
