> 3 dayIve mostly used this printer for the last few years of college; alot of text, color powerpoints, etc. but not so much full-size color photos. I agree it is a bit of an ink sucker but I have found you can get quite a bit of mileage from the cartridges after the low warning comes on. I keep a new cartridge handy and dont replace until it physically runs out. The occasional reprint is worth it to me because of how many more jobs I can get out of it that way. Other than that, the printer has held up beautifully to a few years of active use and I have no complaints about style, function, or features. A good overall printer, I think, if youre not photo-heavy and willing to max the cartridge.

> 3 dayThe start up process is a little bit slow from the start but print quality; I cant complain on that. The sounds coming from the printer sounds unsettling at first but soon quiet down once the machine ready for business. Overall this particular printer performs with the best of those more pricey models that print quality comes up far short in comparison.

Greater than one weekSo me and the wife are in the Walmart and come across this printer for 30 bucks.......and Im thinking....whats the catch. So we pull out the Treo and consumer search it and its reviews are pretty good. Now understand if you put in low quality picture at this resolution it will look like its supposed too......LOW QUALITY. But the higher resolution pictures look unbelievable. They do not include the USB to Firewire cable and you only find out when you get home. It doesnt even tell you on the box that you need the firewire. Luckily I had one. The pictures look amazing on the Glossy II paper and since I work at a print shop with Half Million Dollar machines.....I can say this printer is Explosively Bang for your Buck. It comes with 4x6 photo paper and I will be cutting the 8.5x11 down to save some money. GREAT PRINTER

> 3 dayI bought this printer at walmart one year they had it for sale at $29.99. it has lasted me four and a half years of printing many pages every week, but it was mostly black and white, so replacing cartridges wasnt that bad. the price of the cartridge sis not terrible compared to some other printers. i probably wouldnt use this for picture printing even though thats partly what its for. the only reason its not working now is because my toddler got ahold of it when i was not looking and somehow messed up the slider thing that the cartridges are on. otherwise it would still be working great for what i need it for.i would buy it again if the price hadnt gone up 5-fold. i think its a good printer if you can get it for cheaper than what its now selling for.

> 3 dayMy old Lexmark inkjet finally wore out, so I did some research to find a highly rated, low cost replacement. The Canon Pixma iP2600 is easy to set-up and printed documents are excellent quality. As someone else mentioned, ignore the rater who complained about printed pages falling to the ground; they obviously failed to extend the support arm. Only complaint is that the USB cord isnt included (used the one included with my Canon scanner). Otherwise, Im very pleased with the purchase.

> 3 dayPrinter works fine. I have two other of these same printers on my other computers, and I am able to use the same ink cartridges on all of them. Thats a big plus.

> 3 dayI bought this for my wife who was always having trouble with her HP printer. I myself have a Canon Pixma iP6000D and have had great success with it. The iP2600 is smaller, simpler and good-looking in black. And works just as well.
