I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday and we just love it. There is a slight learning curve and it is a game that you have to pay attention to but as long as you are committed to playing its easy to catch on. Playing time is about an hour or two depending on how may players. Shortly after purchasing the main game we bought the expansion pack so we can play with his family. Such a fun game!!!

This game is super fun. Its easy to learn and to play. No two games are ever the same. This game is a classic, and everyone will have fun with it. Your friends, your family, your coworkers. Theyll all love it.

I’m a fan of the board game and enjoy playing. Can’t really be played with 2 people all that well, 3-4 is better. It is easy to learn and has some resource strategy. Not to aggressive to other players either. Box was damaged though, happened before shipping since the cardboard box it came it was fine and not damaging.

I still love this game and I purchased it for my nephew. We took it out to play and the components were poorly punched with is a shame. I went out to a local hardware store and purchased an x-acto knife and steel ruler and I carefully cut the poorly punched pieces so that the graphics would not tear. It was a pain but we managed. We then used PVA glue and sealed the edges. Wish all this was not necessary but this did take care of the issues. Game was still fun just that it delayed the fun for several hours as we fixed the issues.

Hands down a classic. Easy to learn, fairly easy to setup (ok, to be honest, setup can take a little time, but its worth it) and the mechanics of the game are perfectly paced. Players build their own civilizations while competing with others to build the longest roads or largest armies. There are plenty of strategies involved and each game offers its own unique challenges. Bravo to the play testing of this game as its faultless. Rules are all clear and we found no nebulous gray areas that often plague complex games like this. Ideal family game, and even younger players can generally pick up on the rules. The expansion pack is also a worthy addition to the game for larger families and friends.

Simple yet full of strategy. Settlers of Catan is always fun and not too complex for my 7 year old to enjoy.. its even more fun with 5-6 players using the expansion.
