Child Proof Light Switch Guard - for Standard (Toggle) Style Switches

> 3 dayThis is great. My youngest (18 mos) figured out that if she stood up on her tippy toes in her crib she could reach the light to turn it on and off. This didnt bother me that much until she was crying at 4:30am and I went in to settle her down and she was sitting in her crib with the lights on. My 3 year old also figured out if she climbed up the side of the crib she too could reach the light switch. Neither of them are able to operate the switch with the guard on. I do forget it is on there EVERY TIME I try to turn on the light but we have only had it for a few weeks. It is very easy to opperate the switch if you have adult size fingers. It took no time to install (unscrew screws, screw in screws).

Greater than one weekWe have lower light switches so I needed something to prevent my 2yo from turning the lights on in his bedroom. I had a different brand childproof one before and he figured it out in one try. This one, you need longer fingers to use it so my kids can’t reach it with their fingers. The only downside, my kids are super smart and my 4yo taught my 2yo to use a dinosaur tail to push the light switch up haha. So now I keep all toys that he could use to turn the light on out of his room. I wish they made something that is truly toddler proof!!

> 3 dayIt was exactly what we needed for our son to stop turning on his room light during his naps and bedtime! Very easy to install. My boyfriend did it in a few mins but did let me know it was easily cracked but i think he just drilled it too fast or too much. Our son is figuring out already how to turn it on and off even with this but we will just deal with that when the time comes lol.

> 3 dayWe have a very curious and mechanically apt 2 yr old grandson who just cant resist flipping the switch on Grandmas garbage disposal. This switch cover gave us the peace of mind to allow him back into the kitchen without strict supervision.

> 3 dayThis was exactly what we needed and it solved our problem. We moved into a new house and our toddler son kept turning his light on after bedtime and he’d be awake until midnight each night. Now his light stays off and he has a dim nightlight.

> 3 dayWorks great on the under 5 crowd. But my 5.5 year old figured it out in no time flat, which is ok at that age. We love it and are actually here to buy more, but holy moly is it over priced.

> 3 dayThis was super easy to install and gets the job done well. Our 17 month old figured out the magnetic one all too quickly. She cannot even begin to figure this one out. Not extremely convenient as you have to stick your finger under and up to flick the switch but t def does what I need it too!

> 3 dayWorked great. Of course our 6 yo figure out how to get around it fairly quickly but her little sister (who we really bought it for) hasnt. Inexpensive, easy to install and definitely worth it.

> 3 dayThis worked awesomely for 3-4 nights with our 2- and 3-year olds who just started sharing a room. They havent even remotely tried to fiddle with it yet. The 3-year-old will definitely try at some point and eventually succeed (Im thinking either jiggling the casing enough that it wiggles out or sticking something like a pencil in there to get the switch flipped), but I hope thats a long way out! Its actually a pretty good idea and totally worth a try (even 3 nights was worth the small investment and quick install to me!). The reason Im saying it works less now is only because the kids figured out how to prop open curtains that let some light from a nearby parking lot light shine in to enable more silliness before bed, but its no fault of the product itself and the relative darkness it still creates has subdued things quite a bit from the previous antics. :) Go ahead and buy this - its definitely worth a shot! And portable, too, really, if you need to take it when traveling. Just bring a screwdriver, too. :) Im so happy this product even exists! I give it 4 stars instead of 5 just because I think the design for the front part that pinches in could possibly be a little more secure/less wiggly.
