> 3 dayThe only thing that saved me from my two year old turning the light on after shutting his door for bed time. He and his younger brother sleep much better now and I dont have to worry about late night play!

> 3 dayThis didnt work for me. It made it more difficult for my five year old to turn on the light, yes but he could still do it. I can see this working if the child isnt at the stage yet where they understand how the lightswitch works, but if your child has any concept as to how to work the lightswitch, this isnt your solution. Id recommend looking at the Master Lock switch cover that actually covers the entire switch and gives you the ability to lock it. Then again, this cover could work for you to, if you have smaller kids who can only barely reach the switch as it is and have short fingers.

24-11-2024We purchased two of these guards after our cats, who apparently spent their idle time while home alone thinking up new tricks, figured out how to turn on the hall lights, and wed frequently arrive home to find the lights had been switched on, burning for who knows how long. The grownup humans in our home are all shorter than 53 and are fairly short-fingered, and we do find the length of the covers pose a slight challenge for us to reach up/down into. Weve found the best way to reach the switch is a good ol middle finger salute. While we have no children in the home, we can imagine from our own experiences that kids are very, very unlikely to be able to get at any light switches covered with these guards. These switch guards have been effective, worked like a charm, fully meet our needs. The cats have since moved along to learning to open closet doors instead.

> 3 daySince my child learned to turn on the light, we were looking for a solution to prevent this. This switch guard was perfect. I was able to install it in a matter of minutes. It is easy for me to turn the light on and off, but my childs fingers are too short to reach. It really is a smart design and makes it very easy to use. I would highly recommend it if this is something you are in need of.

> 3 dayBwahahahaha - my 3 year old daughter is no longer turning the lights on after bedtime, working herself up into an exhausted fit, and waking up cranky. 12 dollars well spent.

> 3 dayMy 1 year old daughter would not stop playing with the light switch. After two $15 dollar light bulbs were burnt out I decided to order a pair of these. It works great. My son figured out that he could hit it from the side and remove the cover but hes 3 and a half and has a very inquisitive mind. It works very well for the little one and thats what mattered to me.

> 3 dayReceived this product a couple weeks ago. I purchased it for my 3 year old daughter who has autism’s bedroom. She would turn on the light and it would keep her up literally all night. We have purchased this child proof light switch, along with her night lights. And it has been a 180 noticeable change in her sleeping habits. She now knows, when the light is off.. it’s bedtime. And stays in her bed. She has not tried to attempt to turn it once. This has been one of the best purchases in a long time.

> 3 dayThis light switch guard has worked *beautifully* on both my 2 and 3 year olds, but is easy enough to get around that my 7 year old can still turn on the light if he needs to. Its easy to install (really easy), easy to pop on and off, and utterly confounding to toddlers. The one minor problem I can note is that the transparent cover can be a little hard to spot if it falls on the floor, which is especially a problem when an adult doesnt realize theyve dropped it and then steps on it. That will break it into sharp plastic shards, so just take care not to do that. I like it enough, though, that Im buying another to replace the cover part.

> 3 dayAbsolutely love this. Big enough for adults but little kids cant get their fingers far enough in there to flip the switch.

21-11-2024My twins have eventually figured out how to unlock most safety switch guards. This was my 3rd try and it seems to be working. The design is simple...their tiny hands can’t reach the switch. The only drawback is the price. Way too expensive for a switch guard.
