> 3 dayDo you have a curious toddler who will climb furniture, balance on beach balls, and even train your dog to hold still so her back can be used as a step stool in his never-ending quest to flip switches? Then buy this. Picture it: America, 2022. A third child, born during the early months of Covid, a cusper of Taurus and Gemini. Pandemic Toddler fears nothing and will leap tall buildings in a single bound just to watch the ceiling fan turn on and off repeatedly for hours. Redirection and the word no mean nothing to him. But completely encapsulating the switches? Works like a charm. Furniture is safe now. The dog can sleep peacefully. The beach ball no longer squeaks in terror. Buy this. Buy as many as you need. Buy more. 100% worth every cent.

> 3 dayIt was exactly what we needed for our son to stop turning on his room light during his naps and bedtime! Very easy to install. My boyfriend did it in a few mins but did let me know it was easily cracked but i think he just drilled it too fast or too much. Our son is figuring out already how to turn it on and off even with this but we will just deal with that when the time comes lol.

> 3 dayPlease please reconsider buying this product - I feel so strongly about this that after 6 years of purchasing items (starting with baby stuff for my first kid) on amazon this is I believe my first review. My 27 month old son is proud of the fact that he can stand on his tippy toes and turn the lights off and on - but it became a hassle when his room has black out curtains and I am on the other side of the room left in pitch dark. First I tried a switch shield product that my son figure out how to get his finger in the side of and still operate the switch. So I purchased this product - which I was so pleased with on the first two day. I was sure I had found my permanent answer to my dilemma. Day three of installation I left him in his room for less than a minute to throw a diaper away when I heard a blood curdling scream. I ran in to see him holding his eye area crying and shaking saying owie. He had yanked the plastic tube out and it had come flying at his eye. It missed but he got cut just outside of his eye duct in between his eye and nose. If you think for a second that your child will figure out a way to yank on this cover- reconsider this purchase. The tube part is NOT screwed in - just the base plate that it attaches to.

> 3 dayPretty much what I expected it to be, and overall what I wanted it to do. The picture made it seem like it might slide open and close, but maybe thats just my imagination. Also, the top and bottom part is open, but itll fool the average bear.

> 3 dayWe have lower light switches so I needed something to prevent my 2yo from turning the lights on in his bedroom. I had a different brand childproof one before and he figured it out in one try. This one, you need longer fingers to use it so my kids can’t reach it with their fingers. The only downside, my kids are super smart and my 4yo taught my 2yo to use a dinosaur tail to push the light switch up haha. So now I keep all toys that he could use to turn the light on out of his room. I wish they made something that is truly toddler proof!!

> 3 dayFinally I found something that works!! My 2yr 7m old will wake up in the middle of the night and turn the light on so it makes it hard for her to go back to sleep in her room.. this make it where her little finger can’t turn the light on and now she finally ends up getting bored and going back to sleep in the middle of the night. Great invention and SOo easy to install.

> 3 dayI dont have children in my home, I actually bought this to prevent myself from accidentally turning off the furnace. lol Its not my fault, I just bought a home with a staircase to the basement and instead of having a normal lightswitch at the top of the staircase, some idiot installed the emergency shut-off switch for the furnace right where you would expect to find a lightswitch. I dont think I’ll ever get used to having to walk all the way down the stairs before reaching for a lightswitch, so I bought this shield to cover the furnance switch. It actually comes in 2 pieces : a sort of backplate which is screwed in, then the actual cover part is a square box that snaps into the backplate and covers the toggle switch. If there ever was an emergency, the switch could be easily reached by sticking your finger into the top or bottom of the cover, or just squeeze & pull it right off. Its worked so far, as I have already mindlessly palmed it about a dozen times, and it seems to stay on pretty well.

> 3 dayIf you need a cover for a light switch in a childs room, this is the one to get. We were having trouble with my son getting up and turning the lights on when he was supposed to be sleeping. This is great because adults can turn the light on and off but his little fingers cant reach it. So now he knows he cant and it isnt even a fight anymore. We are so glad we got this light switch cover. Would definitely recommend it.

Greater than one weekI wanted to love this, but it only took a week for my two year old to figure out how to find a toy skinny enough to reach the switch from the bottom. Was easy to install (and uninstall) and great in theory though!

> 3 daySince my child learned to turn on the light, we were looking for a solution to prevent this. This switch guard was perfect. I was able to install it in a matter of minutes. It is easy for me to turn the light on and off, but my childs fingers are too short to reach. It really is a smart design and makes it very easy to use. I would highly recommend it if this is something you are in need of.
