Clover 9506 5 in 1 Sliding Gauge with Nancy Zieman

I just used this to shorten a pair of denim jeans keeping the original hem. Im completely sold on this gauge, it locks in place, Id always used the old metal slide gauge and constantly had to readjust the slide to the correct measurement . This 5-1 is fantastic. Watch the YouTube demos online they encouraged me to give this a try and Im sure glad it now lives in my sewing room :0)

When I ordered this gauge I wasnt sure I would like it. It was so different than the one Id used for years. Now, I dont think Id go back to my older styled one. I prefer the ease and versatility of this sliding gauge.

Very handy and clever sewing gadget. It has many functions and I like to keep it withi reach when I am sewing.

I cringed at paying this much for a small piece of fragile plastic. However, the first time I used it I knew its all good. The drawing circle function alone is worth every penny. I used it to make a 7 diameter round on Soft and Stable and a 8 diameter on a quilting cotton to reinforce a bag bottom. It worked like a charm!

Fell apart after a month of light use. Returning.

If you sew and have used other gauges with a slide and have had the little slide move when youre using it, this is for you. It is made very well and DOES NOT slip when you are using it. Yes it is a little more pricey, but well worth it. If you are a quilter this is a must have, and if you just sew in general it is a valuable tool.

I love this and better yet I got it cheaper than I would have at Nancy s Notions. I love a bargain. The slide bar is slightly grooved so it stays in place. It can be used as a compass to draw circles and again since the slide bar doesnt move it is perfect.

While I am not sure that I would choose this tool to as a compass (one of its stated functions), I do like it very well and a button hole spacer (absent using a Simflex) and measuring device for hems etc. standard, excellent Clover quality. I am pleased with the purchase.
