> 3 dayThe umbrella is pretty, and the mechanism to open and close have worked well so far. I can only assume that it is cutting the UV rays out as it states.

> 3 dayThe umbrella functions but is a bit bulky. It almost looks home made to tell you the truth. BUT it does keep you cooler watching the baseball, soccar games and running meets, so I do not mind it’s look that much. Some might like the look. Quite industrial looking.

> 3 dayThis is the first umbrella I have purchased for shade protection. It really does help! I live in Arizona, so I was skeptical that it would make much of a difference, but it does! I also love that the silver exterior makes it feel a bit less odd walking in the sunshine with it. :) The handle has a comfortable grip, and it closes small enough to stash in your purse or briefcase. I only wish that it was a bit easier to close, as it takes strength to compress the metal rod back to its smaller size (which is required to then activate the button to open it again). Even with that downside, I would purchase this again or recommend for friends and family, as it really does help counteract the intensity of the sun. Coolibar is one of the few companies endorsed by the Skin Cancer Foundation. Be wary of cheaper imitations, as they are often made of subpar materials that dont truly block UVA and UVB rays.

> 3 dayI used it for 2 hot Houston summers already and just love it. It creates wonderful cool shade and protects against harmful rays. Thanks to it I still can walk after 10 am which I could not do before because of hot sun. I do not use it for a short walk though. For example, to a store, because it is rather large and rather heavy but for longer walks it is indispensable.

Greater than one weekThis is a great umbrella for sun protection. It does a good job of keeping you cool. However, I wanted a light umbrella and the weight in the description is inaccurate so its a bit heavy to carry on my morning walk in addition to a water bottle. On my kitchen scale the weight reads 1 lb 8 oz.

> 3 dayHeavy but very effective. Standing in line or walking in the hot sun. A lifesaver for me.

Greater than one weekOnly used a few times and works well to block sun when theres no wind. When there is wind, the umbrella easily collapses leading to broken frame support made out of plastic. For $50 umbrella, one would think that it would have metal instead of plastic frame support.

> 3 dayI have been using this umbrella for years, I wore mine and it is time to buy a new one. If you are not using this ladies...kiss your skin goodbye. Everyone who sees me asks me what is my secret to my beautiful skin, well... staying out of the sun is a big factor. By the way, I also ware the long sun sleeves. This umbrella is incredible, it has reversed hinges, so if it is too windy, it flips backwards & you flip it forward! I would not waste any money, trying to save money buying a cheaper umbrella...this is it :-)

> 3 dayFirst, the width is great, its slightly bigger than a travel umbrella when open and not as concave as a rain umbrella, its a little flatter. The color is beautiful. The photos dont show it but the underside is the matte silver material that bounces light and heat. When youre walking you think its a nice beautiful day under your umbrella. Youre extremely comfortable. After a few minutes you try to figure out why your legs are hot. Are you walking too much? Are you standing too much and now the blood is rushing downwards? What is wrong with your feet? Its the temperature difference between what is under the umbrella and what is not under the umbrella, its *that different*. It work well...almost too well!
