> 3 dayThis umbrella works very, very well. My skin is extremely sensitive to sun, especially on my face. I keep my Coolibar UPF 50+ umbrella in the trunk of my car so that it is always handy when I need to walk in direct sunlight, which is often. One small warning: the umbrella, when folded up, is a bit more bulky (but not heavier) than a regular rain umbrella. For me, that is now a small price to pay for the excellent protection that it provides. When I fold it up, I just toss it into a string bag or a small tote. I highly recommend this product.

Greater than one weekWorks for the sun but it is very flimsy when it’s even just kind of windy. Should cost less for sure ! Definitely just for one person, not big enough for 2 people

> 3 dayOnly used a few times and works well to block sun when theres no wind. When there is wind, the umbrella easily collapses leading to broken frame support made out of plastic. For $50 umbrella, one would think that it would have metal instead of plastic frame support.

> 3 dayI am serious about my sun protection and use a lot of clothing with built-in SPF because I realize that sunscreen often makes me have a rash or just doesn’t work. I bought this to use while in the Bahamas. It is a nice looking umbrella but there are some design flaws that I think could be improved. One, once you open it, it does not fit back in its cover. Two, it needs a longer handle with a different way of holding it rather than just the knob. A curved handle would be more comfortable to use for longer stretches.. The entire handle is just a bit too short. Three, it does flip very easily with not much of a breeze. However, I still like to use it because it does keep me out of the sun. I do recommend it if you are like me and want every option for staying out of the sun but I would like to see some improvements to that design.

Greater than one weekCovers very well keeps you cool. For the price its not very strong I used it when it was raining and the wind just turned it upside up and it just broke. $50 gone.I wont purchase again.

> 3 dayThis umbrella made sunny, 90-degree days in a theme park completely bearable. It definitely felt significantly cooler under the umbrella, and it even kept us from getting burned at the beach. We encountered some windy weather, and though the umbrella blew inside-out a few times, it always slid easily back to the right way. It opened and closed easily dozens of times.

> 3 dayThe umbrella is pretty, and the mechanism to open and close have worked well so far. I can only assume that it is cutting the UV rays out as it states.

> 3 dayThis product has an unusually short handle, which makes it very awkward and uncomfortable to hold. You need to hold your arm in an 90° angle which begins to cramp after a while. Its also very difficult to close.

> 3 dayI received this umbrella in April but delayed writing a review until Ive actually used it. Its been really hot lately but its cool under this umbrella unlike the ones without UPF. Unfortunately 2 ribs have broken off & poked a hole in the material. I contacted Coolibar & they will send me a replacement. Its on back order until 8/15/13 but Ill wait - its worth waiting for.
