> 3 dayOnly heard good things about Coolibar umbrellas. Given I would be working with youth in the desert figured I’d make the purchase. Pro’s: it does shade really well Con’s: slightest wind and it blows up, the handle is rather short so holding its chest level it will sit on your head, the shaft of the umbrella wiggles Over all the sun shade part is great, the rest of the umbrella is poor quality

> 3 dayI’ve had this send umbrella for a year and a half, I live in Texas, so it is highly needed. The umbrella is very cheap and flimsy and folds at the slightest wind, making it completely useless and utterly frustrating.

> 3 dayThis product has an unusually short handle, which makes it very awkward and uncomfortable to hold. You need to hold your arm in an 90° angle which begins to cramp after a while. Its also very difficult to close.

> 3 dayThe handle was a little wobbly from the day 1, but I figured it should be OK, and it was; it blocked the suns rays nicely. That is, until late summer this year. It literally collapsed one day while in use, with a big BANG! Now it wont open. Automatic umbrellas mechanism tend to go before the rest of the umbrella, but really, you would think it should last a little longer at this price. Ive had a rain umbrella (with automatic mechanism) given to me as a free-bee live much longer than this. I think this one is overpriced for the quality. UPDATE: I contacted Coolibar; it turns out the umbrella is guaranteed for life. They replaced it for free. I have my finger crossed that this one wont collapse like the last one. (It was difficult not to have my best sun protection for a while.)

Greater than one weekThe only choice when you need an umbrella to block the sun. They really work and I actually found myself chilly when walking underneath this umbrella in May in Central Florida. As a skin cancer survivor I keep this with me all the time when I am out in the sun and it conveniently fits in my purse or bag when I no longer need it. It is worth the money!

> 3 dayLove this umbrella!!! Well constructed and light weight!! I have lupus and need to avoid the sun as the UVA and UVB rays make me sick... Its just the right size. Not too big and not too small... And now I dont have to wear a hat and have hat hair all the time!!! I put a carabiner clip on my purse to attach the umbrella to when I am not using it so I dont forget it somewhere... That would be an expensive oops!!!

> 3 dayThis is the first umbrella I have purchased for shade protection. It really does help! I live in Arizona, so I was skeptical that it would make much of a difference, but it does! I also love that the silver exterior makes it feel a bit less odd walking in the sunshine with it. :) The handle has a comfortable grip, and it closes small enough to stash in your purse or briefcase. I only wish that it was a bit easier to close, as it takes strength to compress the metal rod back to its smaller size (which is required to then activate the button to open it again). Even with that downside, I would purchase this again or recommend for friends and family, as it really does help counteract the intensity of the sun. Coolibar is one of the few companies endorsed by the Skin Cancer Foundation. Be wary of cheaper imitations, as they are often made of subpar materials that dont truly block UVA and UVB rays.

> 3 dayI have the larger umbrella and it’s amazing except it doesn’t fit in my bag, so I bought this to be more convenient - it’s windy where I live, it ended up flipping inside out 6x in 10 mins so I ended up walking back home to get the larger one. It’s pretty heavy too. I would return but I threw out the packaging already.

Greater than one weekThe umbrella is pretty, and the mechanism to open and close have worked well so far. I can only assume that it is cutting the UV rays out as it states.

Greater than one weekHas protected me from extremely sunny days without sunscreen! Just having a hard time keeping it up, as it tends to pop down
