> 3 dayIve only used this once so far, so Ill update after I travel with it, but that first use was an amazing improvement over my other parasols. It reflects quite a bit of heat and I like that the dark color on the underside doesnt reflect the reflected light from the concrete back on my face. The real test will be how well it holds up to frequent use. Ill come back in a month or so and let you know.

> 3 dayThis product is very helpful when you have to be outside in the hot sun. Only problem is its weight and somewhat difficult to open and close.

> 3 dayI have admired the sun umbrellas that I have seen used by travelers in the tropics, so finally ordered one myself for our next trip to Thailand. The Coolibar travel umbrella arrived today - just in time for the trip. But unfortunately there are two problems. First, the umbrella does not open properly. Pressing the push button, only partially opens the umbrella. To get the umbrella to fully open and to stay open, you must force the center mechanism up and down several times pushing it firmly against the end stop. Once it stops sliding backward, you must then pull down the sides of the umbrella, so that it is not partially inverted. This process is too cumbersome to open an umbrella. Second, it is difficult to hold the open umbrella because it is very top heavy and poorly balanced. It requires an awkward force to hold it at any angle other than completely upright. While the concept of this umbrella is a fine one, the problems with not opening properly and the poor balance lead to my rating is only 1 star.

> 3 dayThis umbrella made sunny, 90-degree days in a theme park completely bearable. It definitely felt significantly cooler under the umbrella, and it even kept us from getting burned at the beach. We encountered some windy weather, and though the umbrella blew inside-out a few times, it always slid easily back to the right way. It opened and closed easily dozens of times.

> 3 dayI live in Texas and use this umbrella every single day. It really keeps the sun off and provides shade while talking my daily walk. I walk about two miles every day and just had too much sun on my head and face. This is instant shade. I love it.

> 3 dayIt really is SIGNIFICANTLY cooler under one of these! Great product. If it wasnt so bulky id still be using it. I switched to the EuroSchirm Lite Trek umbrella instead. But my husband absolutely loves his Coolibar.

Greater than one weekMy wife uses this all the time, as we live in a tropical country with blazing sun. My wife calls it her portable shade tree. I feel a definite and immediately noticeable difference between being under its shade and without it. I recommend the silver one hands down! She could have bought the black one but doesnt like the color. Also, she is used to the silver one and knows that she likes it.

> 3 dayWith 350 days of sunshine each year, I am thrilled to find something that will protect me from the Tucson desert rays, and keep me cooler on my walks to the campus shuttle bus. I have been using for 2 weeks Not recommended for our windy days, but other than that, I am glad to have this umbrella. Noticed another person with same umbrella the other day, walking across campus. We both agreed this is a great product!
