The CTA Digital Playstation Vita Case is a very compact and slim case which allows for great portability and will not take up any unnecessary carrying space when traveling. The outer case has a nice simple design and texture to it, which is also firm and durable. Within the inside of the case are 4 Slots for games and memory cards and 2 pouches for accessories which are located on a padded divider containing soft lining to protect the screen of the Vita from being damaged. Lastly the bottom of the case which holds the Vita is snug, fitting the shape of the Vita perfectly and contains 2 resilient straps to keep the Vita in place so there is no room for movement when traveling with the device. The only issue I have with the case are the straps that hold the vita in place are right next to the Vitas’ analog sticks making it more difficult than simple to remove the Vita from the case. Everything considered the CTA Digital Playstation Vita Case is slim, protective, made of nice material, is very affordable and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice quality case for their playstation Vita. Pros: Price Travel Friendly and Protective Slim and stores more than just the PS Vita itself Cons: Removability (minor issue)

This case is good especially considering the cost of it. The case has a nice fabric lining outside patterned diagonally on both sides. It feels like the case has a hard shape to it and will withstand a lot (not to exaggerate, a sledge hammer WILL break this case :] ). The inside has a felt kind of fabric and a lining around the edges so that the zipper will never get in contact with the Vita. There is a flap on the top which stays up and flat unless you pull it down for access. There are pockets for games and other things but dont expect to put too much in there. The flap itself is not very thick, so if you put something pointy on top and close the case, it may damage the system if it is squeezed of pressed down due to it being so compact. I understand the reason for the straps but I removed them for a good reason. In order to place the VITA in with the straps, you have to somewhat slide it in from the left or right into the case. The inside felt fabric was tearing the edges of the rear custom decals I applied to the Vita. You can easily cut the straps out with no issues. After removing the straps, the case was perfect. I would recommend this case for its durability, design, and cost.

I think this case is really good. The first case I bought for the Vita was the Dreamgear 4 in 1 kit (Vita case, game case, plus touchpad and screen protectors). The Dreamgear is a great case, protects the Vita very well, but its way too bulky This case however is just about perfectly sized. I have a plastic shell protector on the vita itself, and it still fits in the case fine. The slots for the games and the little pockets just make this the best case Ive seen for the money. Also, it comes with a carabiner so you could clip it onto sometimes if you wanted but I wouldnt suggest doing that a lot. Im sure it would tear off eventually.

Tried Frebreze, that didnt do much, tried just airing it out, nada, put a dryer sheet in it and that sorta worked actually, but soaking it in the sink with dish soap for a whole day really seems to have worked. It smells like soap now, and maybe that heinous stench is still there, but its certainly masked to the point where it smells good-to-odd instead of outright bad. It was a very weird smell whatever it was, nothing like new shoes or whatever, was really pungent and foul. The pockets for the games were sewn shut on the wrong end based on the pictures, but you can still get games in them. Not sure if theyre secure or not since I only have one physical game at the moment, but it seems like itll work. I havent cut the elastic bands out yet, but they dont seem necessary; I havent used them but I think removing them might cause the Vita to slide around a bit inside. If it wasnt for the smell I wouldve given it 4 stars, and then 5 if the game pockets werent sewn in wrong. Its the kind of thing that some people seemed to have really lucked out on.

*** 11/09/2012 REVIEW UPDATE One of the nylon straps that others have complained about, broke a few days ago. So, I ended up snipping them both off with some wire cutters. I wasnt being forceful or anything, was just trying to get the Vita out. So far, Id still recommend the case and am keeping the 5-star rating as-is. *** ORIGINAL REVIEW: After browsing a number of different Vita cases and checking reviews, I decided to pull the trigger on this one. A few notes: - The case shipped to me does NOT have any sort of weird smell. Another reviewer reported theirs did. - The two straps used to keep the Vita in place can certainly be slightly annoying, but they absolutely hold the device in place well. Im undecided on snipping them off or not. - Other reviewers reported that the games would slide out of the sleeve easily -- I did NOT find this to be the case, and I tried -- hard -- to make it happen. - Construction of this case, overall, seems very good. Some of the stitching isnt perfect, but for under $9, its impossible to complain about. To be perfectly honest, I think this case is better than the felt sleeve that came with my PSP1000. I feel confident in saying the case could be dropped from a fair hight and no harm would come to the Vita inside. So far, Im overall extremely pleased with the case and will put it through some usage over the next few months. Should my opinion change at all, Ill be sure and update this review.

If you are looking to protect your PS Vita, this case will certainly do that well; however, there are two things that really annoy me about this case. The first is that the straps that hold the vita in place mess with the sticks, and this worries me that it could mess them up over time. My other issue is that the memory card compartments are only functional for the vita games bought in store, not extra memory cards. I bought the Vita bundle with a 4gb card, and it has fallen out numerous times, but luckily I noticed it fell out. It is an annoyance to have to check if it is still there every time I open it up so that I know whether or not it fell out. Simply making this section of the case a solid zippered compartment would easily have remedied this issue. Pros: Durable Cons: Straps mess with sticks, Memory cards fall out of their compartment

I GIVE IT A 4 BECAUSE IT SEEMS TO DO WHAT I NEED IT FOR. THE REASON 4 & NOT 5, BECAUSE ITS ZIPPER & CLIP DO NOT COMPLIMENT EACH OTHER.MY PS VITA SLIPPED OUT DUE TO THE CLIP BEING ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ZIPPER CAUSING ME TO QUICKLY USE MY FOOT TO STOP IT FROM HITTING THE BOTTOM OF THE STAIR CASE BY SLIDING IT ONTO A STEP, MY NEGLIGENCE I MUST ADMIT WAS NOT ZIPPING IT ALL THE WAY SHUT, BUT THAT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THE PROBLEM IF THE CLIP WAS WERE THE ZIPPER CLOSED ALL THE WAY UP INSTEAD OF UPSIDE DOWN. I HOPE THAT HELPS ANYONE OUT, IT SEEMS SOLID & STURDY. I HAD IT FOR ALMOST A MONTH. INSIDES OKAY ENOUGH TO FIT 2 PS VITAs OR PSPs. REMEMBER TO VACUUM INSIDE GETS RATHER LINTY. GOOD FEEL,NOT BAD STITCH WORK ON MINE, CANT HELP BUT FEEL LIKE THE GAME POUCHES SHOULD HAVE BUTTON SNAPS TO CLOSE IT THOUGH..JUST TO BE SAFE,GAME POUCHES FEEL CHEAP LIKE AN EVERLAST MMA GLOVE,BUT I DONT BOTHER WITH IT MUCH ANYWAYS. BE VERY! CAREFUL WHEN EXTRACTING THE PS VITA BECAUSE OF THE STRAPS YOUR LEFT & RIGHT JOYSTICKS WILL! GET CAUGHT ON THEM..A QUICK WARNING,THEY HOLD IT VERY WELL..EVEN WHEN EXTRACTING THE VITA AS WELL. SEEMS LIKE THIS CASE IS JUST FINE (FOR NOW) ONLY TIME WILL TELL, BUT I LIKE IT, USE TO USE AN OLD WINTER HAT AS A COVER FOR MY PSPs(LENGTHY REVIEW I KNOW,BUT HEY, YOUR WELCOME)CHEERS.

This is a great case. perfect size, good protection, nice feel, and has clip so i can attach it to my jeans, bag, etc. The thing that i really cant stand is the awful smell. i had this case for almost 2 weeks and this smell still wont go away. i even try using febreeze. They also sewn in the SD card pockets so i cant even out my games in there like i should.. i used a knife to cut it a little so i at lease put my games somewhere. but doesnt change the fact that i shouldnt have to worry about this... if youre reading this, i HIGHLY suggest buying a different case from different seller unless you dont mind awful chemical smell.

The case feels sturdy and it can withstand a fall (I have dropped it once, onto concrete, and everything inside was fine). I havent had any trouble with the straps. They hold the Vita in nicely, and its easy to pull them up and over the sticks to slide them off and pull the Vita out. I havent considered cutting them off because they seem to work as intended and they dont cause me any problems at all. Though it only has slots for five games, the panel that holds the games doesnt tend to fall open when the case is opened and it has some extra pouch space in the flap. Ive been able to tuck five more games in there without worrying about them falling out or moving around much. My case didnt have a weird or strong smell, as others have reported, so Im guessing either the problem has been addressed or it was only a problem with certain lots. Even if I bury my nose in it, I only detect a faint plastic-y smell- nothing that I would ever notice unless I was looking for it. All in all, Im very pleased with the case, and especially with the price. The case also allows you to go incognito, since it doesnt have giant Vita or PS lettering on the sides- one of the reasons I tend to look for aftermarket or third-party cases for almost everything.

Honestly, I wasnt expecting a whole lot from this case given how inexpensive it was, but Im pleasantly surprised. It is quite stiff, and feels like it provides a decent amount of protection. I keep my Vita in a messenger bag or backpack when I travel, so I mostly just wanted something slim to protect it from slight bumps from other things in my bag. This case fit the bill. I have 16 game cards in it, and Ive stretched out the slots a bit, but it seems fine. The slots for the cards are pretty low-quality, but you could easily put a plastic card carrier inside if it that was a concern.
