> 3 dayI ordered 2 of these ,mince both my son and I have the ps vita. He received his today and I checked it out. Its pretty solid and the pockets for the games is a pretty good bonus. The straps dont seem like a big deal and they dont HAVE to be used if youre uncomfortable with them, but they do hold the system in the case firmly. Im just a bit disappointed that mine is taking so long to ship. :-(

> 3 dayNot a bad case for the price. The hard shell seems like it would protect my Vita in case I dropped it, but the case has a weird smell to it. It gave me a headache, so the plan is to let it set in the garage for a few days to see if the scent dissipates. Ill update this review if it remains a problem.

Greater than one weekNice case. I was looking for something not to big, but would protect my Vita. This fits both requirements very well. Not a lot of room for storage, but I wasnt look for that type of case. There is enough to old several games, a charging cable and an adapter so you can charge it from a common USB wall charger.

> 3 dayFor the price this is a solid case. I have once or twice dropped my vita in the zipped case from about waist height and its still in pristine condition. The slimline, however, is a very tight fit in the case, and I removed the elastic straps with an X-ACTO because they had a tendency to push the Vita out of the case when I opened it. Anyways it works fine and the case protects it well. It also has a little flap and a few pockets for game cards and VR cards. Not really enough space for a cable or a peripheral, considering the Vitas proprietary has a power brick (I think you can just use another micro USB cable instead though). Anyway its a fine case and I recommend it.

Greater than one weekI needed a smaller case for my Playstation Vita because another one I bought here on Amazon was really thick. I purchased the CTA Digital PS Vita Travel EVA Protective Case and it was much thinner than the other case. The case is very firm, and when you place the PS Vita within it, its protected from bumps and scratches. While there are 2 elastic straps within the case to hold the vita, you really do not need to use them because when you close the case, the flap which holds memory cards helps to keep the Vita in place. The case is black, and very non-descript. You can also put a headset into the case along with a USB charging cable on the divided side where the memory cards are held. Theres also a loop for the carabiner clip if you chose to use it. All in all, this case fits, its firm enough to protect the Vita, and has ample room for headphones and a USB charging cord.

> 3 dayA perfect fit for my new Vita (slim). There was no smell and I guess I dont mind the straps that fit just to outside of the left and right of the screen. They dont show them in the product picture so maybe they arent a good selling point but the case is handsome, solid and very offers great insulation from drops or bumps. The flap that covers the screen carries memory cards and games and the zipper is robust and opens and closes with a feeling of assurance. it just works. No complaints!

> 3 dayEdit (6 July 2013): Im putting this from a 2 star rating to a 3 star rating. It really has held up well and has protected my Vita. Its quite impressive actually. But I cant stand how the upper flap is layered still; its still unusable. ---------- Original review: Generally, it does what it says. It carries the PSVita and protects it from harm. Ive dropped it once on concrete on accident and nothing was harmed. It gets the job done. However, Im not happy with [mostly] everything else. The carabiner that was suppose to come with it, didnt even fit in the small loop. Ive tried shoving it in, but nope. Doesnt fit at all (so I left it in the box). The top level where all the games and memory cards, etc go is tucked into the case in such a way that it always flaps into the top. Some pockets for the memory cards are sown into mesh. This makes no sense whatsoever. They could have put a zipper instead of open pockets so that the games, etc wont fall out. I also would NOT recommend putting earphones in it. There is just not enough space because of the flapping layer. When the Vita is in the case and strapped in, you cant push the L or R buttons. I really wish it did so I could at least play on it while its in the case. On the center that holds the top and bottom together, I can see some parts already being undone. Ive had it... almost 3 weeks now? For the price of it right now, ~$8-ish, its decent. It does its job. If you have a few extra dollars to spend, Id probably get a better one. The case I received didnt have that dreaded smell, so thats a good thing. Edit (5 Feb. 2013): Im lowering this to 2 stars because I suspect that its scratching my PSVitas screen. About a week into use, I noticed 3 0.5-1 inch long cuts on my screen (luckily I had a screen protector) and it had to have come from the case. If they got rid of that layer on top, I think it would have been fine. Edit (19 Mar. 2013): Im actually surprised that this case has held up for so long. There hasnt been any major rips or tears or anything like that. As for the case being too small to hold the Vita, I made a quick adjustment that seems to have done the trick. Instead of putting the Vita inside (the right way up), I put it in upside down so that it sits on the top flap. This method stops the two joysticks from being smashed since the system is being held up by the two cords when the case is closed.

> 3 dayThis case has served me well for over a year. There are some things though that you should be aware of: 1. Mine has a bright red/black cover. I was not expecting this as the picture shows it as all black. Not a big deal for me, but others might be disappointed as the design isnt for everyone. 2. After collecting a few game cartridges, I attempted to place them into the case but the stitching easily fell apart. I did not feel comfortable leaving them in there as they were very loose, so I will be shopping for a new case. As others have said, it is a sturdy case and I have traveled with the Vita in this case in luggage and on vacations and it has done a great job of keep it secure. It is just the extra storage that I would not trust.

> 3 dayI bought this for my son for Christmas and I couldnt have made a better choice. Its just padded enough to protect the Vita when he throws it in his backpack to head to work or school. It holds a few memory cards and that all you really need, if you buy a case to hold the charger, then the compact size needed to made it truly portable goes out the window! The zipper is a very good quality and this one didnt have the intense odor others have spoken about. After it was opened on Christmas morning, we put it outside on the deck to air out ...just in case it did. The stitching is perfect and for the price, come on folks, this is a fantastic buy! When you think about what the Vita costs, this is a very needed purchase the day you buy it.

> 3 dayIts a very good case. Will protect the vita. You have 4 card slots for the games and room for a LCD tag and head phones. comes with a little clip for the pocket or bag. Soft in the inside and hard in the out side. The only reason why I didnt give it a 5 star is because of the 2 straps inside. Just cut them off. Saves you the trouble. For the price its good and it comes in on time.
