Diagonal measurements can be deceiving since they leave some leeway when specing these monitors. The previous 20 monitor was 20.5 diagonal - this monitor is 19.5, but the same width - so buyer beware - these are WIDE seeming, but small for a 20 monitor and VERY WIDE when used as dual monitors. Aspect ratio explains that. They set up easily, and I agree with all the other assessments - they are sturdy, well made units, nice surface, excellent features. A second complaint is that the USB ports are not accessible... they are in the same panel with the video and power cables... you have to reach under and up to find the port and good luck if doing so on a desk you dont have rear access to. Convenient, but not the kind of ports you can use for USB keys and such as they are so hard to find back there. The monitor has a single USB port on the back that is not inside that area, but it too would be hard to find blindly. These would look slick in an ultra modern setting. The access panel comes with a cover as well, but of course, you cover that area and the USB ports are even harder to get to. GREAT PRICE, but the aforementioned cons should be considered.

I bought the P2414H to use it as an office monitor. The monitor has an elegant design, its easy on the eyes (after I calibrated it to my taste), text is clear and easy to read, power consumption is low, the menu is well thought out, etc.. Overall, this is an excellent monitor for the money. My only gripe is with color rendition of IPS technology in general. This is my second IPS monitor for past three years (after the HP ZR24W, which was considered a good monitor back in 2011). Despite spending hours calibrating colors and brightness, both IPS monitors have worse color reproduction than the 24 Dell UltraSharp monitor that Ive had at home since ... 2007 (and that monitor is/was supposedly in the same class as these newer monitors). Still, considering the available choices, the P2414H is excellent.

I purchased this monitor to use in portrait orientation in a dual monitor setup at work. I do a lot of document review and word processing at my job, so a monitor that is able to pivot to portrait orientation so that I can view documents in full-size was a must. I should note that the Dell P2314H seems to essentially be a slightly slimmed-down update of the Dell U2312HM, which I also own, and which has positive overall reviews on Amazon. My review of the P2314H, in summary, is that this monitor is perfect for my setup and it is a great value. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: -The packaging it came in was very robust -No dead pixels or screen quality issues -It has the ability to pivot to portrait orientation, which is excellent for anyone who does a lot of document review and/or word processing at work -Adjusting the tilt, swivel, pivot, and height is a very smooth process, yet the monitor feels very solid/sturdy at the same time -Wide and sturdy stand -It wont win any design awards like the $999 Apple Thunderbolt Display, but the material and build quality of the P2314H looks and feels high for its price range -Several connection options (VGA, DVI, DisplayPort) -4 USB 2.0 ports -Great value for the price--I got it for $154.99 Cons: -No HDMI Again, the monitor has just about every feature and is really solid. A great buy in my opinion!

Ive been using three of these for a few months now and Im very happy with them. I mostly use them for programming and gaming. They look great and I love being able to change their orientation easily. Portrait orientation is great for reading long documents or looking at source code, and the tilt and height adjustment is helpful to keep them in a comfortable position. I can easily view 3-5 source code files side by side on each of them. I mostly play Counter Strike and have not noticed any input lag, and Im pretty picky about that. There is no splash screen when you turn the monitors on. I like how configurable the monitor settings are. For example, you can make the power LED stay off while the monitor is on. I think smaller monitors (maybe 21 or 22 inch) might work better for a triple monitor setup because you wouldnt have to turn your head as much and they would take up less desk space, but these are great if you have a big desk. I have not been able to drive any of these monitors over VGA (I tried all 3 of the cables that came with them). The screen flickers and looks really bad. VGA isnt really meant to drive resolutions this high though, and it isnt a problem for me.

The display is excellent! Love the adjustable height! Be aware that the old HDMI socket from your laptop does NOT connect directly to the display. Well, it doesnt if you have a Lenovo U400 or a 2015 Mac Mini. The plug is similar looking but is about 1 mm too wide and absolutely will not fit into the HDMI port. (I cant be the only one who realized the plug was a different size after 5 tries. :-) ) The connection problem was easily solved by getting an adapter. (Shout out to the sales guy at Microcenter who looked at a photo of the cable an plucked what I needed off the shelf.

I like the three-way adjustments (height, tilt and pivot); the clear but non-glare matte screen; the three USB2 ports, and the high resolution compared to 1680x1050 monitors. It came with a VGA and an HDMI cable, and the USB2 master cable. In fact, there is nothing to complain of except that this is not a 22 monitor. It is 21.5 diagonal, meaning that instead of 11.75 display height you get 10.5. The difference is very noticeable. Still, because of its good points, I would probably buy it again.

I bought 3 of these and 2 of them had dead pixels. one was fixed running the pixel flippers on youtube the other was from Newegg.com and in a different box(same model numbers) but that one wasnt fixed The base is awesome there is a lot of range of motion, left to right um and down and portrait.

Great resolution and very easy to set up. screen rotation is very helpful for those big excel sheets your working on. Only annoying thing is you need to order the Dell NCW95 MN008 USB Computer Soundbar AC511 separate if you want sound. For what you are paying for the screen it should be included but they are both excellent products.

Ive had the monitor for about 2 months now. Picture quality is very good and makes this monitor a bargain. The settings are intuitive and easy to use. The only minor downside is there is not HDMI, but the picture quality is still excellent and crispy. If the monitor still works 2 years from now I will give it 5 stars.
