> 3 dayThese soft beautiful colored pencils are critical to a professional colored pencil artist’s tools. Wonderful rich colors. The only downfall is that there are only 24 colors.

> 3 dayBeautiful natural looking colors! Its sometimes hard to find the right color to use for rendering natural scenes in artwork. A lot of colored pencil brands have greens and browns that are not found in nature and two or more colors have to be used to find the correct effect. These are the best I have found. They are a dream to work with, have a creamy smooth lay down and are easily blended.

> 3 dayI just ordered chinese white to try the pencil, see how it works with my Faber Castell Polychromos, and if I could get the opaque white I needed that regular colored pencils dont provide. But, not something that will wipe out the color underneath, just stronger then regular colored pencils white. It was perfect. It did exactly as I needed as plays quite nice with my polys. It blends in but, is stronger and more opaque. It blends in nicely, as well. I am so impressed I am going to order the full set with hopes of Derwent expanding the colors someday.

> 3 dayI love how soft, thick and wonderfully blend able these pencils are. They are a little pricey, but, well worth it. After seeing the reviews expounding their use for “fur” and rendering animals, I thought I’d throw in my 2 cents and applaud how they work beautifully for drawing “people”, too. I added a sketch I did on a 12”x16”, medium grey, mi-teintes paper. Hopefully, along with the other reviewers, this illustrates how versatile, yet limited, this particular pencil palette is. I highly recommend these for drawing, however, I think if you are looking for artist pencils for coloring, you might be disappointed … this is a very “natural”, muted set of colored pencils.

Greater than one weekThese go on the paper great, but the color selection leaves a lot to be desired. All of the colors are very muted and theres not a good green or brown color.

> 3 dayLove these pencils; so smooth and great for layering. The only complaint I have is the small color range.
