> 3 dayI adore these pencils! They are rich, and creamy. The lead glides on the paper; effortlessly layering and blending with ease. If you have carpel tunnel or arthritis these are the pencils for you. The full set of 24 all work harmoniously together. The color palette was well chosen. You can choose any three colors with your eyes closed and the colors you choose will look wonderful together. If this set were to be expanded I would definitely add this additional set to my current one. I wasnt really sure of what they were about until one of my favorite colorists (coloring with Alena) started using them. I felt the price was good for a 24 set, and I will be purchasing a backup set. This is not a set you want to be without. Take a chance on them as I did and be pleasantly surprised!

> 3 dayI can see why these pencils are called fur and feather pencils. They very soft almost like pastel pencil. They are softer than Prismacolor Premier which I have and like very much. These seem to have less binder/wax than other color pencils. The color set covers most of the warm and cool colors of most animals coats. So if you are going to drawn animals this is a great set to have. To try them out I drew the head of the fox on the cover of the tin and was easily able to achieve the same look and I am not a professional artist by any means. There are not any bright colors like red or bright blue for certain birds however. They are mostly muted colors. I bought them to draw animals so I like these very much for that task. Be sure the check out the color bar or Derwents color chart on their website before buying these to make sure this is the color set you really want.

Greater than one weekJust received them, but one of the pencils had a broken point, I haven’t used all so do t know if any more are like that, so kind of disappointed with that. Otherwise derwent is usually a good brand. I wish they would replace the broken pencils with new!

Greater than one weekLOVE, Best colours for animals and just the right shades. Just wish they were softer, they are closer to the Artist line but I like the Coloursoft line more. Very good pencils, I also have the inktense and watercolour lines, and the graphite, charocal, just the all the derwents!!! ALSO LOOOVE these and got the set for around $65, the DERWENT coloursoft colour pencils, also love the inktense

22-11-2024Love these pencils; so smooth and great for layering. The only complaint I have is the small color range.

> 3 dayThe pencils require a lighter touch than Im used to--otherwise they drag and feel gummy, and crumble on the paper. With that lighter touch, however, and especially after the first layer of color is on the paper, they become quite rewarding. Look elsewhere for brilliant colors, but these are as lovely as they are subtle. They are also lightfast, with all but one scoring the maximum 8 on the blue-wool scale.

> 3 dayThese pencils are all I had hoped they would be. The colors are highly pigmented and a joy to use. Soft, buttery texture, and rich hues.
