> 3 dayThey grind down material real fast (and make a LOT of dust). They hold up pretty good as well. I just used one one two different flooring jobs with particleboard subflooring. One was a 9 to 10 inch wide, and 1/4 inch high ring around a toilet flange., it ground down in minutes. The second was a spot where a customers dog would wet the floor under a desk. It was circular about twenty inches in diameter and 3/8 inches high in places. The same disk leveled it out in minutes as well. The disk looked like it had more life in it, but I pitched it anyway (it stank like dog urine).

> 3 dayBought them for that purpose and they work like a champ. I like that they dont take off a lot of metal like a grinding disk does. Im sure Ill find other uses for them. Sharpened two blades and see a bit of wear, but i guess that is to be expected.

> 3 dayit wears out fast but while it has the abrasive it takes out metal material fast

> 3 dayI like these but the life span of good grinding seems to be short for the price paid. The benefit though is the ability to grind without grinding hard flat points into the material. With practice you can follow the natural contour of the metal you are grinding. Use these when you want to shape or clean off the surface; used the solid grinding wheels when you need to grind down to get the final shape before using these disks.

> 3 daySecond time buying these and would buy again. A great option. Lasts way longer than regular sanding pads so worth the extra money.

Greater than one weekThis was my first flap disc. Im surprised at how much manufacturing and tech has to go into making one of these gizmos. Theyre pretty well connected with high quality tech and materials in order to function properly. Dewalt (Black & Deckers commercial grade products) did OK on this one. FYI: Black & Decker = residential grade Dewalt = commercial grade ... SAME COMPANY!
