Grinding flap disk of a quality you can count on. Once you learn how to use these disks they will become a favorite abrasive tool.

Have gone through a few projects using this flap discs. These discs cut through rust with no pressure and will cut through mill scale with a few passes.

Im using it to grind down excess glue off of aluminum tubing, works great for that purpose. Only bit of warning is that if youre grinding dried glue wear a respirator and eye protection. Puts that stuff into a fine mist from the sanding and will get in your eyes. Not pleasant. Otherwise the sanding disc works awesome.

Nothing against Dewalt this is a quality product. On this order two DW8310 discs were sold / shipped by Amazon store. One disc was obviously used and with most of the sanding grit worn off. It was just thrown in the box with no packaging. Sending out used products or someone else’s return is completely unacceptable. However, receiving used or old (discontinued) products is an all too common theme here. In addition, most of the discs sold here do not have the required expiration date stamped on the wheel because they’re not manufactured in the US. Using a grinding wheel is the most dangerous tool. Grinding discs can break apart as the bonding material deteriorates with age which is why they stamp an expiration date. There are enough risks when using cut-off wheels and grinding wheels. I’m not looking to increase those risks in so I won’t use expired abrasive discs. I replaced these by ordering directly from manufacturer and paid the additional shipping. I’ll be doing this with everything but cat litter and other non essential consumables. It’s worth spending a few dollars more to get new.

Truly lives up to description and longevity. Does a great job, easily grinds without binding or grabbing material. Consistent life. You will know when its time to replace, material will start to flake off and glaze work piece.

This cutting wheel may look thin but it cuts through soft to moderately hard metals better than expected. There didnt appear to be any noticeable wear or shedding after initial use. It appears the extra money was worth it.

Welder must have. These are great,and work great for sharpies lawn mower blades as well.
