> 3 dayThese polishing pads are great for the price. No problem polishing granite both light color and dark. Had only one problem when I was polishing out in high temp and direct sun the glue on the velcro pad let go. The polishing pad and velcro flew of at high speed never to be found.

Greater than one weekThe pads are excellent!!! The backer pad came unglued with the very first 50 grit. Thankfully I had a backer of my own. I did fourty feet of raw edging to a full polished glaze and these pads and they show very little signs of wear. With the proper grinder and patience a truely remarkable finnish can be obtained!!

> 3 dayThese were great and did the job for a fraction of the price of having it done at a custom shop. I just ran a low water trickle when using the 400+grit. Takes a little while to do but so worth the effort for all that $ savings. Make sure to keep a low RPM on the polisher and the pads stay on the polishing disk/attachment without flying off. However do wear all the necessary eye/nose/etc. protection!

Greater than one weekI am installing granite tile in my kitchen. The edges need to be polished and it would have cost me $20 per edge to have it done. The tiles were only $4.00 each! So I looked on YouTube to see if I could polish them myself. It was recommended to get this set of polishing pads and a variable speed grinder. I ordered the Kawasaki grinder on Amazon, too. I clamped the tile onto my wood deck railing using the plastic ratchet clamps. Then I did as the video instructed, starting with the lowest number of polishing pad. I made 3 passes with each number of pad - and voila! The edge is just as smooth and shiny as the surface. The Velcro makes it fast and easy to change the pads and the grinder is easy to use. There is a lot of vibration, which shook me from head to toe, but not an unpleasant feeling. It is fun to do and very rewarding to see the results. The grinder and pads saved me a ton of money!

> 3 dayGood value for the price of them. Other more expensive types work faster, but these are a better deal but more time consuming. They don’t stick to Velcro as well as hoped and can fly off if you can’t control the speed of your sander.

21-11-2024I used these pads to polish 18 sqft of 2 1/4 inch hearth stone with a variable speed polisher I purchased at Harbor Freight for about $50. The pads held up great all the way up to 4000 rpm. I did most of the work at 2500 rpm. After using all the pads they all still look like new and the stone looks great. If you want the full polished granite counter top look you will need some polishing powder and a pad. I did not have any problems with the pads coming apart as other reviewers have said they had. I was able to polish right up to the edge of chisled rough edge that I did on the front face of the stone without any problems. The kit comes with the backer the screws right on to a standard polisher. The backer has a stiff velcro that the pads attach too. When you are done with one grit you just pull the pad off and attach the next one, very fast and easy. None of the pads ever slipped or moved from the velcro attachment even at 4000rpm. This was my first time working with and polishing stone slab. These pads made the job easy. Dont get me wrong, working with large stone slabs is hard work and very messy but these pads are easy to use, highly recommended. I plan to use them again when I do more work in my back yard.

> 3 dayThese worked great for the edges of our granite tile countertops. Bought a $40 angle grinder at Harbor Freight to use with them and they did the job for relatively cheap!
