> 24 hourIt is difficult to believe how quickly this thing heats up. The payback will come much sooner than I anticipated.

> 24 hourThis appears to be a nice product, but the manual included is infuriating. It mentions features while intentionally *not* explaining how to use them. For instance. the included manual explains how to enter the parameter setting mode and notes that there are four parameters, but rather than explain what parameters 1, 3, 11, or 14 are, theres a big blank space right below the line explaining how to enter the parameter setting mode with some text in the center pointing you at Hakkos website. Once there, are the documents readily available? No, of course not. You need to waste yet more time creating an online account before Hakko deems you worthy of receiving the sacred knowledge held within. Sorry, but if youre going to waste my time making me create an online account just to access the complete PDF manual for your product, especially in such a needlessly annoying manner, Im going to waste an extra couple minutes leaving your product a 1-star review. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. And congratulations, Hakko, youre a winner!

> 24 hourHeats up fast so I can turn it off between various steps without having to wait for a long time to get back to temperature. Well made. Nice extra adaptors. I love it. Ham radio for 65 years and this is the best soldering kit Ive seen.

> 24 hourGreat iron. Heats to 750 in less than a min and cools quickly. I was concerned about the holder because it looks plastic in the picture, but it is metal. Unlike the spring style holders this one fully encloses the pen so you cant burn yourself by bumping into it.

> 24 hourIve only had mine for a day, and Im already wondering how on earth I lived without it! Actually, I do mostly point-to-point soldering in antique radios, but a recent Fluke meter LCD to LED retrofit brought forth the need for some finer soldering. Lo and behold, I didnt have an iron dainty enough! Hence, this purchase. Overall, it is solid, well built, and beautifully crafted instrument. It solders like a dream! Makes me want to do more solid-state tinkering! The digital menus are a bit goofy. It would have been better to have had a simple knob to control temperature, where the full range of temps can be dialed-in easily and directly with 3/4 of a turn of a knob. I personally see no need for presets and program modes, if the temperature had a quick and easy direct control. As it is, I dont find myself needing to adjust the temperature very often anyway, so for me, its kind of a moot point. Will definitely be looking into Hakko products, should I need new soldering equipment in the future. Im done with Wellers cheap garbage.
