> 3 dayBest unit there is for the money. Totally worth it versus the other crap that is out there. And if you need a shrink wrap blower, you can get one for $20. No need to buy one of those all in one units.

> 3 dayThis thing heats up FAST!!! Holds temp really well. Just exactly what you want in a soldering iron. I’d been eyeballing this station and had it in my cart for well over a year. Really glad I finally made the purchase. It really is top notch for guitar wiring.

> 3 dayThis is an OK iron for large parts but anything 0603 or fine pitch like 0.2mm I would not recommend. The finer tips dont transfer the heat to the ends. We went through different solders and different ends hoping for the best but ended up having to get a metcal.

> 3 dayAfter several online reviews and tutorials product worked great. Download full instruction sheet from Hakko though one in the box leaves out a few things. I know have it set up how I want it. Great solder station.

> 3 dayI had an old radio shack soldering iron. The tip had been badly abused. Picking up a hobby that requires soldering some small circuits, I decided a new modern iron was in order (especially since there is no Radio Shack to run down to to get new tips, etc). Hakko came highly recommended. After a few uses, I can see why. I love the programmable base and the ability to change temperature to use for different types of projects. A master can do great work with even poor tools. For amateurs, good tools compensate a little for lack of skill. This is a great tool.

> 3 daySo much better than my old $20 solder station. melts solder so i dont have to hold the iron on a spot in worry that the component will overheat.

Greater than one weekMakes soldering feels like painting, feels so good and actually relaxing in the same way as cooking with a sharp knife.
