> 3 dayThis is my first soldering station, before I worked with ugly soldering iron - no temperature control, no tips, no fun, just brutal power. This item absolutely different, very well made, excellent instruction on website about soldering. Recommended for reading, very helpful and interesting for beginners and hobbyist! Temperature control works good, checked with temperature meter and tried with different solders (60/40, eutectic, rose, lead free) melting point near by. Soldering Iron is superb, I fell in love with him. Good grip, lightweight, fast heating. Works well with surface and smd mount (I never tried before smd, but now I can). After 5 months of usage I would recommend this soldering station. P.S. Be careful, first time I did recalibrate station temperature on 100C degrees because not read instruction and wanted to try faster. First hit enter and then input temperature. Had to look tip thermometer.

> 3 dayQuite simply one of the best out there. Using a quality iron can make all the difference. Great tips and easy to use.

> 3 dayPurchased primarily for circuit board and electronic equipment use. My unit came with additional tips which I recommend. When used in my radio hobby some components in kits are very close to each other. It is really nice to be able to adjust the tip temperature to ensure good solder flow without damaging adjacent components. With the right tip this unit will work well with surface mount components and fairly heavy gauge wire, such as twelve gauge. I give this unit five stars for value because, although not inexpensive, it will prove its worth in many applications and is very well constructed. Before settling for a cheaper iron, save your nickles and dimes and get this unit. You will thank yourself every time you use it.

> 3 dayGreat soldering iron. If doing heavy gauge wires and you only had a cheap soldring iron, the Hakko is a must.

> 3 dayDoes great.Enjoy using.Plugged it up and did temperature test first thing.47 degrees Fahrenheit off.Done factory reset procedure .Checked and doubled check .Now it right on the dot.Feels very comfortable using. So many irons have to large in diameter to hold onto while soldering. Not this one.Just an all around pleasure to use.

> 3 dayWhen I got involved with RC aircraft earlier in the year I thought I might need to do some infrequent soldering so bought the Aoyue 469. As time went on I found myself soldering far more frequently than anticipated especially after the hobby grew to encompass working with micro electronic controllers and experimenting with a variety of electronics on circuit boards. The Aoyue just didnt work well enough for what my hobby grew into. The soldering iron tip never tinned properly and inability to find other soldering tips that fit the iron properly just became too irritating. I bought the Hakko with the extra tips to cover needing to solder 12 to 24 gauge wires and also attach components to circuit boards. Very first thing I did was power up the iron and tin the tip. It was a great feeling to finally see a tip that would properly tin. Ive since had many opportunities to use the iron and its a great product. If your going to do a lot of soldering do yourself a favor and buy a good quality iron like this one.

> 3 dayAwesome. Used wands for years, finally decided to purchase a production digital professional soldering station. I like the digital read out. I use this now on circuit boards which I never thought Id be soldering on! Now I have a pinball game and it comes in extremely helpful. Pros: Price compared to other leading brand. The other leading brand has not improved their product in years. Good quality Digital readout, without the up charge. Peer reviews, recommended by a friend who uses these for work. Cons: None yet
