> 3 dayThe Hakko is a first rate soldering instrument. It comes up to temperature very fast and has plenty of power for PCB soldering and even for soldering to tube sockets. Of course for big items, like soldering to a steel chassis, you will need something with more wattage. The procedure for programming the preset temperatures is a bit cryptic, but there are plenty of instructional videos on YouTube that can help with the process.

> 3 dayExcellent soldering station. I got tired of messing with cheaply made junk and started researching for a good soldering setup. I was just about to buy another very well known one, but kept reading a lot of bad reviews. So I decided on this one and I must admit, I made a great choice. It heats up very quickly and is easy to change temperatures. So much nicer than any I have owned before.

> 3 dayI bought this after reading good reviews across the internet about this thing. I have always been a Weller guy, and Ive been quite happy with my Wellers. Needing a second soldering station, I opted to try something new, maybe Ill like it just as much or better, right? WRONG!!! This thing works about as good as the $15 electric stick you buy at El Cheapo. It will heat EVERYTHING up except the solder! Trying to work on a circuit board??FORGET IT!!!! AINT HAPPENING!!! I put this up on the highest temp setting HOPING it will melt solder on my board. Nope. Im going to melt boards if I continue to use this. WASTE OF MY MONEY!!!! I guess Im a Weller guy for life Kevin Clark-Misfit Garage
