> 3 dayThe Gateron silent brown version of the keyboard is probably the most quiet non custom keyboard you can buy on the market and imo having a quiet keyboard is super important. Most keyboard manufacturers seem to think that people invest in premium audio equipment and headphones so you can drown it all out in keyboard clicking. You can get even more quiet with zilents, lubing each switch instead of just the stabilizers, and making a ton of other mods but you would have to do that yourself and that would probably increase the price towards the $300 range so for slightly over $100 these are a steal. My only gripes with this keyboard is that the software isnt intuitive and you have to use a ton of modifiers to use some of the keys since its a 60% keyboard so keep track of how often you use the keys it doesnt have before you buy (unfortunately their other keyboards either dont have gateron silent browns or dont have double shot keycaps) but otherwise this is a great keyboard.

> 3 dayBought this keyboard because ive preordered a Ducky Mecha Mini but it was taking forever to arrive. The unboxing experience is premium, you get an aluminum case, lubed stabs, some kind of dampening foam under the pc. Got mine with gateron reds and theyre amazing, so much better talking about feeling, sound and response compared to the Romer G switches on the G810 that I used before.

> 3 dayI love everything about the keyboard, but Hera Compiler. I cannot get my profiles downloaded onto the keyboard. When I click download, and then download again on the popup box...nothing happens. Does anybody else have this issue?

23-04-2025Couldnt be happier, got the box red in the white variant body and this thing is just awesome. I have many different boards and switch types this thing blows them all away with its lighting and especially software. The key caps are a little different feeling than your standard double shot pbt but still have a really nice feeling to them. And i love this software since you can get it to mimic anything on a full sized board with ease. Have had a ducky one two mini and hands down the Venus is better whether it comes to lighting or switch selection and in most cases it even seems the price is cheaper which to me is nuts with how awesome this board is.

> 3 dayIt was a great keyboard when it was still alive. Unfortunately, it did not last long. I usually plug it into an Xbox One S and it worked great. The Cherry Mx Red switches were smooth and the RGB was really nice and bright. WHEN I PLUGGED IT IN ON A PC IT LITERALLY DID NOT REGISTER ANYTHING I TYPED. After that incident I found out that it would not register anything on my xbox. I plugged it into a phone and it would not register there. So plugging it in to a PC literally killed it. I did the exact same test with a different keyboard and nothing happened. So I give this 2 stars because it was great while it lasted.

> 3 dayGot the white PBT board with Gat Yellow switches. The RGB really pops with the white version. Gateron Yellows are super smooth, and make Cherry Reds seem scratchy. The springs on the linear Gat Yellows are perfectly weighted. The stabilizers on this board are lubed and smoother than pretty much any prebuilt out there, including Ducky. If you want Gateron or Kailh switches, this board is a no-brainer since Ducky doesnt currently offer those options. If you want Cherrys, the choice is harder - between this and the Ducky Mecha Mini. (No issues with keyboard freezing, so maybe HK Gaming included the newer cables with this batch?) Just to add - I have 3 Durgods (2 Venus and a Hades). None of them have had any issue with freezing as a few reviewers have claimed. According to Durgod, the issue could be with the original cables in certain environments (Im assuming lack of proper shielding on the old cables). Contact HK Gaming for replacement cables if youre having issues. Again, Ive had zero problems with any of the three keyboards. Ok, got a 3rd board (lol) with Kailh Box Red switches, and wow. The Gat Yellows used to be my favorite but the Box Reds are just as smooth while being a tad faster for gaming (total travel 3.6mm vs 4.0). They also have zero key wobble due to the box design. And theyre not too fast or light to be unusable for typing (like Speed switches). Just a great all-round key switch.

> 3 dayPicked this up in box whites. First off, if you have never typed on box whites and you enjoy a clicky switch (even if you dont you should really give these a try if you havent) then these are the switches for you. They are not super loud like mx blues, they are not scratchy at all, they are super smooth except for the slight bump you feel when going over the click bar. Kailh BOX Whites are some of the best clicky switches on the market right now. They are right up there with BOX Jades imo. I actually prefer these because they are just so good to type on. They even work well for gaming. This keyboard is an amazing production board. The build quality is up there with any production board on the market. The stabilizers are lubed and there is no rattle to be found. The switch selection should have something for everyone here. If you havent tried BOX switches and are debating on this board I would recommend any of them. No key wobble here. The RGB is fantastic and very vibrant, and the board offers a lot of options and even custom lighting you can set up in the software (which was easy to download and use). The aluminum case makes this thing feel like a tank. My only gripe with the Hades 68 has been remedied by the addition of PBT doubleshot, seamless, shine-through caps. I am in love with this thing and will be using it for all of my work that I do at home. The typing experience is so satisfying with the BOX whites. I own just about every production 60% board you can buy (2 Ducky One 2 Minis, Vortex Pok3r, Anne Pro, Anne Pro 2, RK61, etc.) and this is right up there with the Ducky One 2 Mini and Pok3r. Heck, the Pok3r wishes it had these quality stabilizers. If you are on the market for a 60% board and dont want to go with a Ducky One 2 Mini, grab one of these and you wont be disappointed. Get some BOX switches and you will not be disappointed. I even hear in the future they will be offering even more switch options. I will not hesitate to grab another one of these when BOX Jades are available in it. I also want to try one with the BOX Reds. I have said it numerous times in this review, you really cannot go wrong here. It checks all the boxes. I will still use my Ducky One 2 Mini for my primary gaming board, but for everything else the Durgod HK Venus will be on my desk for the forseeable future. Only way I replace it (will never take over my custom) is when I get another Venus if it comes out in the color white and with Box Jades inside.

> 3 dayI like everything about this keyboard BUT it freezes in mid game from time to time. Build quality is nice. But it just sucks that i have to keep unplugging it and plug it back in when the keyboard freezes in mid game. It seems like their software is still in the beta and no software updates last i checked. Stick to the Ducky keyboards in my opinion.

> 3 dayI love the overall feel of the keys, the look, and the sound of this keyboard, however HK Gaming seems to have quality control issues with their boards and I would not recommend purchasing from them. My keyboard has started to fail after 2 months of use. The keyboard freezes and needs to be unplugged and plugged back in to get it to respond and it fails to register key presses. My s key and my o both fail to register on a regular basis. Ive reached out to HK Gaming twice and have not had any service responses. For a board that is less than a year old this is unacceptable. Im immensely disappointed.

> 3 dayThe board is excellent, but I really want to highlight the software. Multiple profiles/layers can be configured and then flashed to the onboard memory so you dont need to always have third party software running, which is the most frustrating thing about many modern peripherals (looking at you Razer). The onboard memory is great for use with multiple PCs or at work. You can also assign individual RGB settings which helps if you are remapping a layer for macros and want to color code them.
