So I have been using this keyboard for a while now and honestly the keyboard overall has been great! No problems in the first half year of use, and overall build quality is amazing. Listing some pros below: -great switch options (personally went for gateron silent browns) -heavy base which is great for gaming so it doesnt move around -small 60% style (also a con for some) -overall great feel I only have one con over constant use over the year is that the base of the keyboard actually warped, maybe from how tight the screws were tightened, which isnt too big of a problem but noticeable at times. Overall good rating though.

Pros: Stylish, feels like quality materials, cool RGB effects Cons: Freezes mid sentence, you have to cycle power to the keyboard to recover at which point you have to reprogram the RGB or select it from their horrible KB app. The app doesnt resize for resolution so in my case, my 1520x1440 display caused the screen to clip the upper and lower portions so I could not use the app without changing resolution first, then was required to use the task manager to kill the app. Its terribly annoying especially coupled with the constant resets. Without those two issues it would be rated much higher but the freezes and software are nonstarters. I have requested a refund/return and I bought the Red Dragon instead.

I genuinely enjoyed the keyboard while I had it, but 2 weeks after the support window ended, I began having issues. The number 3 works less than half the amount of time. For the price, I feel like the keyboard should last more than just a year

writing a review using this keyboard and came from a full layout of corsair strafe silent reds and ooh boy it is like night and day. still having a lot of typos as this is my first 60%. first is the stabilizer is so good and pre lubed just like any other reviewers said, no rattle and not making noise like any other gamerish keyboards. the spacebar is standard, keycaps are pbt and will not shine at all. it feels premium this thing here is built like a tank it is made of aluminum i mean i can incapacitate anyone with this keyboard. i was a bit skeptic at first and it took me months to decide that if i gonna get one, i even studied how to build a keyboard and in the end i settled with this. there were many choices but what i want in a 60% is the build quality and the Durgod convinced me. ducky mecha is also a good choice but when i heard that spring ping in the case in some reviews it made me pick the venus over ducky. i highly recommend this one

This keyboard has so much potential. Having the option to choose your switches from that big of a variety and not to mention it being this price for a 60% these days. The problem is it disconnects all the time, easy fix though you just pull the cord out and put it back in. Wouldnt be that annoying to deal with if I didnt use it for gaming where I lose a gun fight every 6 minutes because I cant move my character. Save your money, if this keyboard style is something you NEED, then get the Ducky One 2 Mini. That is if you can get your hands on one.

Bought this keyboard because ive preordered a Ducky Mecha Mini but it was taking forever to arrive. The unboxing experience is premium, you get an aluminum case, lubed stabs, some kind of dampening foam under the pc. Got mine with gateron reds and theyre amazing, so much better talking about feeling, sound and response compared to the Romer G switches on the G810 that I used before.

This is an improvement from the last batch. The last one I had was a black Venus with red switches. While it typed and preformed like a dream, I occasionally got the freezing issue forcing my hand to return it. So far with the white version and brown switches I have had no issue with freezing or key chatter. It is an amazing keyboard and I am surprised it is not just as popular as the Mecha Mini from Ducky. I will edit this review if I come across any of the previous concerns of freezing. 6-9-2020 Edit: As previously stated, this keyboard freezes occasionally. I got the freezing issue once. I contacted HK gaming and they are sending me an updated cable that is supposed to fix this issue. I appreciate HK gaming doing that for their customers. Don’t let the freezing issue keep you from buying this keyboard. It is so awesome!!

I love this keyboard. Its switches (gat brown) are smooth and quiet, and the form factor is great if youve never used a compact layout before. I occasionally find myself missing the arrow and delete keys, but I dont often wish I had them on this board. Its easy to customize, but does lack some lighting customization that you can find from the likes of Razer or Corsair. I would still take this in a heartbeat over any of their products, though. Cant beat the $99 price point either!

Material and build quality are good, LEDs are bright, keyboard customization is no problem. All seems good value for the price, but right around 2 month mark, the random freezing issue started kicking in, and has only been getting more frequent, up to twice a day now (It actually froze right in the middle of me writing an email to HK Gaming about this issue, but I suspect that their warranty on their product is non-exist). So... Look elsewhere if you want to have a reliable, solid, premium mechanical keyboard, or anything thats worth your money. Shouldnt have trusted youtube reviews of this brand. Those tech reviewers never hold on to a product for more than a month anyway. But for us consumers, over $100 for a keyboard thats only good for 2 months? Thats like getting a new RTX 3080 graphic card every year! Just stay away from this keyboard for good.

Picked this up in box whites. First off, if you have never typed on box whites and you enjoy a clicky switch (even if you dont you should really give these a try if you havent) then these are the switches for you. They are not super loud like mx blues, they are not scratchy at all, they are super smooth except for the slight bump you feel when going over the click bar. Kailh BOX Whites are some of the best clicky switches on the market right now. They are right up there with BOX Jades imo. I actually prefer these because they are just so good to type on. They even work well for gaming. This keyboard is an amazing production board. The build quality is up there with any production board on the market. The stabilizers are lubed and there is no rattle to be found. The switch selection should have something for everyone here. If you havent tried BOX switches and are debating on this board I would recommend any of them. No key wobble here. The RGB is fantastic and very vibrant, and the board offers a lot of options and even custom lighting you can set up in the software (which was easy to download and use). The aluminum case makes this thing feel like a tank. My only gripe with the Hades 68 has been remedied by the addition of PBT doubleshot, seamless, shine-through caps. I am in love with this thing and will be using it for all of my work that I do at home. The typing experience is so satisfying with the BOX whites. I own just about every production 60% board you can buy (2 Ducky One 2 Minis, Vortex Pok3r, Anne Pro, Anne Pro 2, RK61, etc.) and this is right up there with the Ducky One 2 Mini and Pok3r. Heck, the Pok3r wishes it had these quality stabilizers. If you are on the market for a 60% board and dont want to go with a Ducky One 2 Mini, grab one of these and you wont be disappointed. Get some BOX switches and you will not be disappointed. I even hear in the future they will be offering even more switch options. I will not hesitate to grab another one of these when BOX Jades are available in it. I also want to try one with the BOX Reds. I have said it numerous times in this review, you really cannot go wrong here. It checks all the boxes. I will still use my Ducky One 2 Mini for my primary gaming board, but for everything else the Durgod HK Venus will be on my desk for the forseeable future. Only way I replace it (will never take over my custom) is when I get another Venus if it comes out in the color white and with Box Jades inside.
