Eagle UI-50-FS Red Galvanized Steel Type I Gasoline Safety Can with Funnel, 5 gallon Capacity, 13.5 Height, 12.5 Diameter,Red/Yellow

I have used Eagle safety cans for many years, I admit they are heavy and can be awkward to use if you try to fill something with fuel that this can was not designed to do. If you spend time on the Eagle website you will see they have a safety can and other products for pretty much any need yet be prepared to pay for the convenience, durability and safety features built into these higher priced cans. Pretty much if you buy this can and use it in a way it was not designed for you will not like it. I purchased 5 of these cans with the yellow plastic safety funnel knowing I would be filling a generator with the fuel, however If I wanted to fill the tank of a car with them I know I would need another funnel in addition to the safety funnel with the heavy can and fuel propped up on a stable base until enough fuel was dispensed to lift the can easily. If you get in a hurry while filling anything because are trying to support the weight be prepared to make a mess but please do not blame the can for your lack of planning or forward thinking. I have used many of the cheap plastic safety cans over the years both the vented type and non vented type as they get used they all seem to leak while filling after a few uses. the non vented cans can be down right dangerous and the vented cans can leave the place they are stored in filled with dangerous fumes. I am old enough now that you couldnt pay me to use a cheap china made plastic can Along with the cans I will also purchase the eagle brand flammable storage cabinet to make my fuel storage needs complete. I would have purchased the red Gasoline cans yet availability and Hurricane Irma forced my hand and I settled with the Green cans and one diesel can all of which are now labeled Gasoline only

Fantastic! No leaking whatsoever! Spring hinge lid is centered perfectly on opening, provides enough pressure. Even turned upside down this does not leak!!

I had the exact same experience as another customer in the reviews. My can arrived in an Amazon box and the original manufactures box. Both were in perfect condition. When I pulled the can out of the box it looked like it was sucked in. It had large dents. I also heard a woosh sound when I pulled the handle back. Poor quality control. I dont see how it couldve been damaged in transit as the boxes were perfect leaving me to believe that it left the manufacturer that way!

This is without question the best gas can Ive ever owned. Its FAR FAR better than the terrible plastic cans being sold at the big box stores now. The can is extremely sturdy and should last for many, many years. The spring (yellow handle) is a bit stiff and does take some pull to open the filler cap, but thats not big deal. The funnel works great, so its very important to not misplace it. Overall, an excellent product, and I very highly recommend it. Avoid those cheap, crappy plastic gas cans and get this good one.

I have the 5 gallon one so when I needed a smaller one I went looking for one like the bigger one .

Very heavy duty, exactly as described. Arrived quickly and well packed fr safe travels. No leaks or fumes escaping that I can notice.

Excellent way to store gas. Tight seal and it does not spill.

What can I say but this can did what it’s supposed to do and went above and beyond. Lost my 16 ft enclosed trailer with 16k worth of equipment and everything burned except for this gas can. Still had 3 gallons of gas In it. Pretty amazing! If you want safety buy this.
