This is the best model of Whole House Surge Protection to get other than a Full Meter design.

We have had an unusual season of electrical storms and brief power interruptions but our electronics have been mostly unaffected except for a few minor equipment reboots.

The unit has outstanding ratings for such a small package. The leads are way too short. They are about 12 long and should be at least 24, especially if you have to mount the SP away from the ground and neutral bar locations. I would prefer to see terminal screws used if they cant increase the lead length.

I have installed several of them in the past 15 years & recommend every household should have one. I always wire to the main breaker but I do not recommend doing it unless you are experienced. It can be dangerous but it is the best way. Add up the cost to replace or repair every appliance in your house if there is a power surge usually from a lightning strike during a storm. I had to replace/repair 2 TVs & repair a furnace. Over a $1000.00

Being it is a surge protector, I don’t really know if it is working, but I haven’t had any problems since installing it. Installation was straight forward.

I had it installed and it was done in no time at all.
