I had an electrician who recommended it install it after having $2.5k in damages after an lightning strike. In home plugin surge protectors did not work. I am now comfortable that my whold home is protected. Electrician only cost $70

Lights are green after the install indicating it is working. Please get this if you have a 220 volt oven with computer circuit boards in it. First blow will cost 6x what this device cost installed. Repair man said we were lucky to get 10 years (before a surge fried the oven).

Warranty doesnt cover its intended purpose. I installed it, but, I put it in my garage. I put a Leviton, in my house. Im not saying Leviton is better but their warranty at least covers power surges.

Neighbors had problems, we didn’t.

Replaced a free one from our electric company that was compromised when our house was hit by lightening. This one should protect us better, beefier, had an electrician install it in our electrical box.

Great item

I installed this to be the first line of defense for my home in Florida. We have a tremendous amount lightning and after a storm in mid July I decided I needed to make a change. I have APC surge protectors at every device but I wanted even more protection. We have had multiple storms and nothing has been damaged since the installation. I hope to never need it but I know it is there now. I highly recommend!

Installed this product several years ago in my new house. Two weeks ago, lightening struck our power pole, blew out the transformer. House was protected, absolutely no damage. Shop on a separate circuit, same transformer, blew outside light, GFC socket, and a battery charger that was plugged in maintaining a charge. Now ordered a second protector to install in the shop. Have replaced all that was damaged, but protector is well worth the price and trouble for installation.

I had to add a breaker to install it but overall an easy process. Now I hope it does the job if we have a surge.
