Greater than one weekItem description: 2 ct Fire Blankets Brand: Mondoshop Item: B0BW34KRX2 Date received: 2023-04-09 Headline: Great fire protection addition - especially for kitchen or garage! Product Claims 2 count, 1 meter square heavy fiberglass fabric fire blanket Color: red holder, white fabric I received exactly what was claimed in the product description as to count, style/type, size, and color. The fire blanket is a heavy weave of fire-resistant fiberglass fabric that is just over 3 feet square (1 meter). It is intended to be used early as a first line of defense on developing fires before they spread out of control, so it should be store nearby to potential fire hazards. Ideally it should be supplemented with a back-up fire extinguisher, but this blanket is capable of extinguishing many early small fires on its own.

> 3 dayClearly I haven’t used this yet so the review is more about the idea if it works as claimed. Hopefully I never have to use this but it is good insurance to have. I love that it is small, doesn’t expire like fire extinguishers and you can hang it where you want or need it no pulling a pin or trying to unhook the holder when you are in a stressful situation, simply pull the tabs and the blanket comes out. I plan to have one in the car, and each barn on the farm.

> 3 dayHopefully these are never needed. But taking them out of the bag and trying them out they are NOT itchy and are flexible and thick. They will definitely keep you safe for long enough that in case there is a fire you will have a few min to get out to a safe spot.

> 3 dayThese are hope you never need them type of items. My kids saw them and were a bit scared. I had to explain to them what these are used for, how they can come in handy and what not to do. My daughter was scared of the whole concept - but fire safety is something they need to know. She eventually got comfortable. At first she said she didnt want one in her room. After explaining everything - she was OK, and now she understands. Hopefully I never have to find out if they work!

Greater than one weekI’ve ordered these just in case. I haven’t had a need for them so I can’t vouch for their effectiveness. I have two small children, so these are great to have. Also, I gifted one to my mom because she’s had a grease fire before I mistakenly put water on it so this one just extinguishers it immediately. These are great in case of emergency. highly recommend.

> 3 dayI really dont know about Fire Blankets, but I have to say these are really heavy. I think they would do great putting out fires. Since, thank God, we havent had a fire, I cant really say these are the best or worst of this kind of product. But, like I said, these are strong and sturdy. Review Done: 4/27/2023

> 3 dayWhile Im happy to report that I cant truly review the product (thankfully, no fires for which to use it), this gives me and our family some peace of mind to have around the house. -- The kids were intrigued when they saw the bright red packaging, so we took it as a time to explain to them how to use it. -- Only challenge we had was determining where to put it so it was accessible to all heights/reach of our family members, but also somewhat out of the way.

> 3 dayWe have multiple fire extinguishers in our home but not all fires are the same. Some may respond better to other methods of extinguishing. Half of all structural fires in the United States start in the kitchen. According to the National Fire Protection Association US fire departments responded to an estimated average of 172,900 home structure fires per year started by cooking activities in 2014-2018. These fires caused an average of 550 civilian deaths, 4,820 reported civilian fire injuries, and more than $1 billion in direct property damage per year. A quick search on YouTube can demonstrate just how often cooks and kitchen workers do the absolute wrong thing when confronted by a kitchen fire. Spoiler: pouring water on a grease fire is a recipe for disaster. Along with an our fire extinguishers, a fire blanket can help add security to our cooking efforts. These are well packaged and small enough to fit in any kitchen. They are large enough to cover most home stoves. We keep one, along with extinguishers in our home, garage, and camper. Hopefully you’ll never need to use it but, if a fire breaks out it could be a lifesaver. Full Disclosure: I acquired this as a Vine user. While we pay nothing up front for products, it is counted as taxable income at the retail price. This generally means Vine members pay about 30% of retail in taxes. We take our reviewing seriously and endeavor to assess quality to the best of our abilities. As consumers we rely on other peoples reviews, so we try to return the favor. Our Ratings Criteria: 1 star. Lowest we can give, recommendation against purchasing 2 stars. Meh minus. Has some major downside or flaws 3 stars. Not great, has some issues but you may find it useful 4 stars. Meets expectations, works as designed, no major or obvious issues 5 stars. Exceeds expectations, recommended purchase.

Greater than one weekFortunately I haven’t had to use this for its intended purpose yet. I like to leave reviews only for items I have tried out, but in this case I’m glad the opportunity hasn’t arose. The material seems like it should work for its intended purpose. It has a reinforced hole for hanging, and the pull straps make it easy to remove the blanket quickly. It’s supposed to be for putting out fires, but it probably could also be used as an emergency blanket for warmth if needed.

> 3 dayIm not going to waste one by taking it out of the package...but the reviews are clear that these work well. Thanks to other users who have tested them. They all look alike which makes me think theyre made by the same factory and rebranded. Hope I wont have to use one but its good to have them. Make sure you and your family know where they are and have at least read the instructions. Memory fades in the midst of an emergency!
