Greater than one weekI hope I never have to put these to the test but they seem to be made of a heavy material that should drape well and conform nicely to whatever you lay it on. I would think that should help block the oxygen away from the burning surface, which would help extinguish the flames.

> 3 dayI sure wish I had this 20 years ago! I stupidly almost burned our apartment down when I left something on the stove. When I saw this, I just had to get it. Hopefully, we will never have to use it, ever. For peace of mind, every household should have one or two. The material is woven, and it feels somewhat soft. When you first take it out of its bag, it does have a plasticky smell, but its not too bad. Naturally, of course I havent used it to say how good it is, and hopefully I wont find out! Again, every household use have one.

> 3 dayI cant comment right now on the actual functionality of this blanket as I thankfully have not had any fires I have had to put out, but from what I have read this is a pretty basic item that is good to keep around. It is compact (about 12 x 8 when folded), doesnt expire, easy to use (just put it over the fire to smother it out), and can be used on any small fire including grease. With these benefits and the fact that these are fairly inexpensive, I cant see why anybody would *not* get at least one of these.

> 3 dayClearly I haven’t used this yet so the review is more about the idea if it works as claimed. Hopefully I never have to use this but it is good insurance to have. I love that it is small, doesn’t expire like fire extinguishers and you can hang it where you want or need it no pulling a pin or trying to unhook the holder when you are in a stressful situation, simply pull the tabs and the blanket comes out. I plan to have one in the car, and each barn on the farm.

> 3 dayI keep one in our truck, one or two in the kitchen, and keep them easy to access in any area (my shop) where an open flame is being used. Easy to grasp and remove from hanging storage, unfold and quickly deploy. I use one when Ive done some landscaping burns on our meadow for use in managing the work and having another fire snuffing tool at hand. Very effective.

Greater than one weekI hope to never have the opportunity to test this on an actual fire but I did take out and unfold a blanket and put it atop my range. Its large enough to smother a stovetop fire and feels thick and substantial. The best aspect of a fire blanket in comparison to a fire extinguisher is that the user is less likely to feel inhibited about using it as there is no extra mess or cleanup. I have encouraged many family members to purchase the same set of fire blankets that Ive just reviewed.

> 3 dayEveryone is aware of fire extinguishers and the importance of having smoke alarms in the home, but I think these fire blankets are just as important. You get four fire blankets in the package and they all come in individual bags that are easy to hang in places around your house or car. To use, you just pull the tab at the bottom to quickly access the blanket to smother a fire. Thankfully I have not had to use these blankets yet, but just having them gives me piece of mind in case of an emergency. If you are wanting to add an easy and effective tool for fire safety, you can’t go wrong with these blankets.

> 3 dayI recently purchased the Safety Fire Blanket for home use and I must say I am thoroughly impressed! You just never know when you are going to need something like this and it is a great addition to my emergency bag. Made of 100% glass fiber material, the fireproof quality is top-notch. I am confident that in the event of a fire, this blanket will effectively stop the spread of flames and reduce property damage. Not to mention, I can use it on myself if necessary, which makes me feel so secure. It seems very easy to use, just take a release strap in each hand and pull downwards and outwards over the area thats on fire. I have it hanging in my closet next to my emergency bag. I like that it comes in a bag to store it in. Knowing that the fire blanket undergoes strict quality inspection to ensure that each product is up to customer satisfaction makes me feel very confident that I am purchasing a safety product that can actually deliver as advertised. Overall, I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a safety device that is easy to use and offers complete peace of mind in case of small fires.

> 3 dayThis is one of the items you. It with the hopes of never needing them. I have a few other fire blankets from a different source. These seem comparable so I am assuming they are made well.
