Greater than one weekSturdy product. I have not actually used in the setting of a large fire but I did try holding a small flame to it. Material is sturdy and, as described, was not ignited by the flame. I highly recommend this item; it is something that should be on hand. Especially if you have little kids.

> 3 dayPlay as pictured, and it has a nice sturdy reinforced hole to hang the blanket from so that it is handy in case of emergency. I didn’t take it out because I am afraid I won’t be able to get it back in right for when I really need to use it, however, it comes with two thick, black straps that stick out the bottom so you can grab and pull and it should pop out the bottom. This is a good value, and it is smart to be prepared just in case. better safe than sorry. I would definitely recommend Adulting and ordering one to have in your home. I keep one in the kitchen and one upstairs in the hall closet.

Greater than one weekI hope to never have the opportunity to test this on an actual fire but I did take out and unfold a blanket and put it atop my range. Its large enough to smother a stovetop fire and feels thick and substantial. The best aspect of a fire blanket in comparison to a fire extinguisher is that the user is less likely to feel inhibited about using it as there is no extra mess or cleanup. I have encouraged many family members to purchase the same set of fire blankets that Ive just reviewed.

> 3 dayYes, we have fire extinguishers, but these blankets are a great addition to emergency supplies. There is no reason they shouldn’t work as fiberglass is very heat resistant. The fact that it is simple is a plus. They are easy to remove from the bag and easy to keep within reach. We’ve put them in the kitchen, workroom and vehicles. As the package says – hope you never need this – but it’s a good thing to have.

> 3 dayThis is the sort of item everyone should have in their home and that everyone hopes never to need. Just imagine, though if you are faced with a stove top fire how glad you would be to have one of these on hand. The operation is simple - just pull on the two black fabric straps and the 40 inch square sheet of fiberglass is opened. Toss it onto the flames to extinguish and leave it there until it cools. You just saved your whole kitchen and possibly your house from burning to the ground. At a cost of two of these for $20, its really not something you should even need to consider for long. Make the purchase and place these where you can get to them in the blink of an eye. What could be more important than the safety of your family? Accidents happen. Be prepared!

Greater than one weekThese fire blankets are excellent to have for emergencies in the house and car, namely small fires in places where theres quite a bit of room to maneuver, and no fire extinguisher handy. The blankets are easy to deploy and store compact in their provided pouch, which has a nice high visibility red material that is super durable. They do a great job of actually putting fire out, and they have clearly printed instructions, so even someone who has never used one can use it properly.

> 3 dayThese are hope you never need them type of items. My kids saw them and were a bit scared. I had to explain to them what these are used for, how they can come in handy and what not to do. My daughter was scared of the whole concept - but fire safety is something they need to know. She eventually got comfortable. At first she said she didnt want one in her room. After explaining everything - she was OK, and now she understands. Hopefully I never have to find out if they work!

> 3 dayI recently purchased the Safety Fire Blanket for home use and I must say I am thoroughly impressed! You just never know when you are going to need something like this and it is a great addition to my emergency bag. Made of 100% glass fiber material, the fireproof quality is top-notch. I am confident that in the event of a fire, this blanket will effectively stop the spread of flames and reduce property damage. Not to mention, I can use it on myself if necessary, which makes me feel so secure. It seems very easy to use, just take a release strap in each hand and pull downwards and outwards over the area thats on fire. I have it hanging in my closet next to my emergency bag. I like that it comes in a bag to store it in. Knowing that the fire blanket undergoes strict quality inspection to ensure that each product is up to customer satisfaction makes me feel very confident that I am purchasing a safety product that can actually deliver as advertised. Overall, I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a safety device that is easy to use and offers complete peace of mind in case of small fires.
