> 3 dayFortunately I haven’t had to use this for its intended purpose yet. I like to leave reviews only for items I have tried out, but in this case I’m glad the opportunity hasn’t arose. The material seems like it should work for its intended purpose. It has a reinforced hole for hanging, and the pull straps make it easy to remove the blanket quickly. It’s supposed to be for putting out fires, but it probably could also be used as an emergency blanket for warmth if needed.

Greater than one weekThis is the sort of item everyone should have in their home and that everyone hopes never to need. Just imagine, though if you are faced with a stove top fire how glad you would be to have one of these on hand. The operation is simple - just pull on the two black fabric straps and the 40 inch square sheet of fiberglass is opened. Toss it onto the flames to extinguish and leave it there until it cools. You just saved your whole kitchen and possibly your house from burning to the ground. At a cost of two of these for $20, its really not something you should even need to consider for long. Make the purchase and place these where you can get to them in the blink of an eye. What could be more important than the safety of your family? Accidents happen. Be prepared!

> 3 dayWhile Im happy to report that I cant truly review the product (thankfully, no fires for which to use it), this gives me and our family some peace of mind to have around the house. -- The kids were intrigued when they saw the bright red packaging, so we took it as a time to explain to them how to use it. -- Only challenge we had was determining where to put it so it was accessible to all heights/reach of our family members, but also somewhat out of the way.

> 3 dayEveryone is aware of fire extinguishers and the importance of having smoke alarms in the home, but I think these fire blankets are just as important. You get four fire blankets in the package and they all come in individual bags that are easy to hang in places around your house or car. To use, you just pull the tab at the bottom to quickly access the blanket to smother a fire. Thankfully I have not had to use these blankets yet, but just having them gives me piece of mind in case of an emergency. If you are wanting to add an easy and effective tool for fire safety, you can’t go wrong with these blankets.

> 3 dayCompact design, decent sized blanket. I was able to easily refold and put it back in the bag. The grommet hole on top is easy to hang it somewhere close.

> 3 dayVery handy mounting hole for a rapid deployment fire blanket. The bag is well made so its likely to stay put when you yank the blanket out by its pull tabs in a rush. The blanket is easily deployed and unfolds almost automatically as you pull it from the bag. A great item for around the house, as many kitchen fires can be extinguished without the need for a dry powder that makes a huge mess.

> 3 dayThis is a small blanket but a good size to cover a candle that got out of control or your poor cooking skills! You can hang it in your pantry and then pull the tabs to quickly release the blanket for use. I got the 4 pack and will give 1 to a family member for their kitchen. If the fire is small this seems like a quicker option than a fire extinguisher and potentially less messy. Every home should have a fire suppression device whether it be a fire extinguisher, blanket, etc...its a good investment. As always, if the fire doesnt seem to be contained please call 911/Fire Rescue ASAP!

> 3 dayI heard the fire blanket on line, and think to have one for my kitchen. I have been looking for this for a while, found this one with reasonable price. By touching it, feels like not that steady. I was expecting stronger than this.

Greater than one weekI keep one in our truck, one or two in the kitchen, and keep them easy to access in any area (my shop) where an open flame is being used. Easy to grasp and remove from hanging storage, unfold and quickly deploy. I use one when Ive done some landscaping burns on our meadow for use in managing the work and having another fire snuffing tool at hand. Very effective.
