This “burger deterrent” quit working on the 4 hour setting after nine months of use. Very disappointed.

4.5 stars: Love it. Use it all the time. Definitely bright enough that people walking/driving by would notice and assume you are home. I use it in a corner room so it is visible from both the front and side of house. My only complaint is the color and flicker rate. I think modern TVs have a little more white light and a little less on the blue/green scale. Also, real TV shows that I watch dont flicker nearly that much. But hey, maybe potential intruders will assume I have a really old TV that isnt worth stealing, or that Im the kind of tough guy who only ever watches 70s action films! Honestly, even if it isnt perfect it still does what it is supposed to do- makes me feel more confident about being away from home when I live in a neighborhood with occasional break-ins.

It looks exactly like a tv is playing from outside the house! I hope it will work to deter thieves from coming into our home.

We use this product any time we will be gone for at least 1 day. It gives the impression that someone is watching TV inside our bedroom, so I feel better about having this gadget on while we are gone.

It does simulate a television fairly well. If you watch it from the outside for a while however, it becomes obvious that its not an actual television because the light patterns repeat themselves. Im assuming most would be burglars wouldnt sit in front of your house long enough to notice though so it shouldnt be an issue.

You need this gadget! It simulates a tv in an average to large size living room. Google the product and read about both models to see if you need this one or one for a smaller room. They have a great FAQs section, too. Perfectly priced and arrived on time.
