> 3 dayI have not been able to put it to the test yet, I gave it 4 stars with the hope that it will work as promised when I do use it.

Greater than one weekThe detachable cord kept falling out of the plug end that connects to the device. The dusk sensor used included in the on switch - didnt feel distinct click for that setting so it was hard to know if it was in position. Felt flimsy...hard to imagine cheap lights and diodes are worth the $40 I paid for it.

> 3 dayWe use this product any time we will be gone for at least 1 day. It gives the impression that someone is watching TV inside our bedroom, so I feel better about having this gadget on while we are gone.

> 3 dayOut of the box: man this thing is tiny -- fits in my palm. How could it possibly simulate a TV? It seriously lights up a room. It only pulls 5 watts. Im astounded. From the inside, youd think theres some psychedelic disco going on in that room. Some other reviewers said they had to put it close to the window and face it towards the window with the blinds down. That looks a little dorky from outside, since it really looks like a TV is pointed at bottom corner of the window instead of towards the viewer. I live in a ranch-house, so there is no second floor. I chose the corner office in the back of the house, were a thief is most likely to approach. I have wooden blinds that truly block out all light. So I have to leave the blinds open a crack, pointed downward so that from the outside you can only see the ceiling. Then I placed the device about 8 feet from the windows. From the outside, its very effective. One-page instructions & recommendations is very well written. Given the price, effectiveness, and low wattage, this is a no-brainer. Bravo to the inventor! Recommended future features: 1. Program in the location so it knows when Dusk is, then goes until 11PM or so. 2. Randomize option that turns it on for 60-90 minutes, off for 10-20 minutes, then on again, until 11PM or so. 3. Be nice if it had a single morning session option (say 6-7AM), and single lunch setting (say noon-1.)

> 3 daySeems like a great idea, but the dusk for 4 hours and dusk for 7 hours options did not work. Had to buy a timer and hook it up to that and switch it to the on position.

> 3 dayThis little thing really does work and when my husband is out of town I turn on the dusk + 7 hours setting to make it look as if he is home watching TV while I go to work at night. It really does come on at dusk (not when its pitch black like another reviewer indicated) and I can have a light on in the kitchen while it is on in the living room (there is a 10 foot wall in between the two rooms, otherwise the rooms are open to each other). My only complaint is that it simulates a 40 LCD and I would like it to simulate a 60 or 70 LCD. I would recommend this to others and I would buy it again. UPDATE - After using fake TV a couple times and having it set on the dusk + 7 hours position, I noticed that one or two of the small lights will remain lit up after it was supposed to be off. It will only turn off when I turn it to the off position. Not sure why this happens but it isnt going to affect my raiting.
