> 3 dayI bought one of these to use during a recent vacation. On powering it up the first time, two of the twelve LEDs were not functioning. I used it during the vacation and returned it when I got back. I liked the concept of the Fake TV and so ordered another (I figured everyone can make an error). The second unit arrived and appeared to work correctly (all the LEDs worked). However the second time I turned it on, it was non functional. I found if I pressed the switch a specific way with my finger the unit would operate, but when I removed the pressure the unit died. So the switch is defective. Ive now bought two of these units and both are defective. This company has a serious Quality problem and I wont buy any of their products in the future. After I received the second unit, I also received an email from Hydreon the manufacturer asking me how I liked my purchase. I responded to them explaining my problems with their product. To their credit they shipped me a replacement unit free of charge. I applaud their customer service skills and added a second star to my original review.

> 3 dayNice piece of mind. If it gives one burger pause it paid for itself. It is smaller than I anticipated which is nice as you can pretty much put it anywhere without being intrusive. It throws fairly convincing pattern, I have mine pointed toward the window. I put mine a mechanical timer to increase the randomness of the on/off cycle.

> 3 dayIt does simulate a television fairly well. If you watch it from the outside for a while however, it becomes obvious that its not an actual television because the light patterns repeat themselves. Im assuming most would be burglars wouldnt sit in front of your house long enough to notice though so it shouldnt be an issue.

> 3 dayThis gadget really works wonderfully. I was testing it in my home prior to actually using it and it actually fooled me, as I forgot about it throught I left the TV on in the bedroom. Really pleased with this product.

> 3 dayPretty neat little gadget. Mine works as advertised and does look like a real TV flashing dimmer and brighter using various color combinations in a random fashion. I think its a little overpriced, but lots cheaper than replacing items that could be taken after a break-in.

> 3 dayA very impressive TV simulator, except for the lack of sound. The way this thing blinks and how it includes brightness fading, gradually, really mimics a TV better than the competition, which I also own. I recommend pairing one of these with a Knox Gear Burglar Deterrent TV Simulater with Sound, since that gets you TV sound to go with this FakeTVs amazing TV light simulation. If you pair them, you will need a microSD card and a recording of a few hours of TV sound, which you can find on youtube via peoples old VHS tapes, and then convert the youtube video into an mp3 using one of those youtube to mp3 converter websites. In the end you get a TV effect so believable you can fool yourself.
