This is very difficult to apply with a wool dauber. It says to shake it, but then it gets very foamy and is tough to get an even coat when you cant go over the same area twice due to the stickiness. Im going to try with a Preval sprayer instead, maybe watered down a bit. Its also a bit too shiny, I dont know why they dont sell different versions like Tandy seems to.

I changed the color of a leather chair and got professional-looking results using this along with Fiebings leather dye. It is water-based, dries quickly, and doesnt give off a lot of fumes. The chair in the picture was originall primary red. I dyed it with Fiebings dark brown leather dye and topped with resolene. I used 2.5 bottles of the dye but only half a bottle of the resolene.

Much better than the Tandy Eco-Flo Satin Shene finish. It not only seals better, but it did not result in the cracked finish that the Tandy finish created. It does work well with the other Eco-Flo dyes, however.

Compares to Furniture Clinic product. A bit glossy.

This dye was a great solution to fixing worn areas on my dark brown leather couch that had turned orangey. I applied the dye and my couch looks new and beautiful again. None of the dye has rubbed off on any one--it only dyed the couch and then we didnt use it for a day to make sure it was completely dry. I dont think you have to wait that long, but it was a nice summer day and we enjoyed the evening out on the patio instead. For just a few dollars and a bit of time and effort my couch looks completely new again. I would definitely recommend this!

I use this as a finish for holsters and for thinner leather gloves. It created a non permeable barrier that was durable and thats lasted.

Fiebing"s Neutral Acrylic Resolene, 4 Oz. - Protects Leather Finish - Our most popular top finish for use over dyed, antiqued or polished leathers.. Acrylic Resolene is flexible, durable and water resistant. Best applied with a damp sponge. (Tip: Resolene goes on with a slight blue tint but when dry results in a gorgeous gloss finish.)
