> 3 dayI was touching up my travel bag which had taken a beating on the road. I used a q-tip dipped in the black Fiebings Leather Dye so as to not get dye on the cream stitching, and then used the Fiebings applicator on the large open areas of the bag (went faster than the q-tip:)). Worked beautifully. After drying for a couple of days (just to make sure) I buffed the leather, and then I was ready for the Resolene. Per info on the internet, I diluted a small amount of the Resolene 50% with water. Then took a soft rag and applied the Resolene (it is a cream texture) to the entire bag using circular motions. I let it dry for several hours and then put a second coat on it and let it dry. I then buffed the bag with a soft cloth. Applied some leather conditioner to finish it off, and buffed to a lovely soft natural finish. Resolene did exactly what it needed to (stop the dye from rubbing off), but without creating any type of unnatural glossy finish. THe leather is soft to the touch and supple - exactly what I wanted. I found the Resolene easy to apply, with no unpleasant fumes. I did not get any streaking, as some people have mentioned in other reviews posted here. It worked like a charm for me. I did two coats of the Resolene on the bag that is pictured here, and the bottle is still practically full.

> 3 dayThe last picture was before the coat of light brown pro dye and Resolene. This stuff was a lot of fun to put on. I did a coat of the light brown pro dye the day before and it looked pretty good but some of the pigment stained the rubber parts of the sole and heel. After I put the coat of resolene on and give it a good brushing with the ole horse brush it took the pigment off the rubber and gave it a nice shine. I actually prefer this look to the edge when they were brand new.

Greater than one weekUsed along with the black dye to finish off my bike saddle. Not sure I really needed this stuff but it did add a bit of gloss and I imagine it will help keep the seat in good shape through the years. A+

> 3 dayWhy did I doubt it? I really wanted to use natural oils and dyes for my leather and resisted using this acrylic finish because I was afraid of a plasticky feel and look. My first impression was that it resembled a watered down version of edge kote. This finish goes on so nice and thin, seals just enough but is flexible and still breathes. It neither dulls or over-shines the finish. It is perfect. So if you want to really seal in your dyes and impressions, I highly recommend this finish. I waited to buy it and now I see what Ive been missing out on. Very convenient and gives me peace of mind, especially with my leather jewelry that comes in direct contact with skin and has a chance to get wet, dye does not run as it does with even a product like the all-in-one. Will update if my impression changes after using it for an extended period of time. Happy crafting!

Greater than one weekI bought an untreated wallet and it got grimey and gross pretty quickly. I cleaned it and coated it with this and now its like an entirely new wallet. Best upgrade to leather.
