Fiebings Pure Neatsfoot Oil

I have tried many products to condition my leather couches and neatsfoot oil really is the only thing that works. They cracked with fancy European leather conditioners! This bottle is a great value! Will condition my two oversized couches about 3 times.

Ive never used neatsfoot oil, so I dont really know how it should smell. From reading some of the other reviews I assumed their might be a funny smell. When I opened it and took a whiff it was unpleasant. It seemed like something I had smelled before, but I couldnt think of what it was. So, I asked my wife what she thought. One whiff and right away she said that smells like rancid oil. Is it supposed to smell like that? I just wonder if this oil has been sitting in a hot warehouse too long and turned rancid. Does it work as advertised? Sorry, but I dont know yet. I just got it today and applied some to a rifle sling this evening. Itll probably be a couple of days before I can tell the full effect on the leather.

Im not gonna lie, this stuff is pretty nasty. If you take a minute and look up what its made of you might have second thoughts about using it. Why did I give it 5 stars? Because it is by far the best leather protectant I have ever found. I will never use another leather protectant again, this product works better than advertised and even though its made of incredibly nasty pieces parts, who cares... Youre wearing leather after all lol

I use this oil on all of our leather goods, from baseball gloves, boots, handbags, leather jackets to knife sheaths. If you don’t use it, your leather goods will dry out and crack. Annually, I treat all our leather goods with this product so I go through a lot of it. My only note is that after you apply it liberally, you need to let it absorb overnight. Final note, depending on where you live and the ambient humidity, you may need more than one coat/yr. If you need it, use it because it will greatly extend the life of your leather goods.

I learned the hard way with another oil-based product. But for work boots or baseball gloves, this product will make the leather will become softer, more supple, much less likely to crack; the leather will not absorb moisture and dissolved salt. But you will lose the ability get the item to shine. To get all of the above, and a preserve the ability to shine, talk to your dress shoe manufacturer for the proper regimen and materials. Most of the finer shoe manufactures make there own balm, cream paste, and some have a final shine product as well.

Loved what it did for my leather sofa. I didnt like the lingering aroma quite so much but I would buy it again because it made such a difference

Oil did not take to hide. stil stiff as a board.
