I bought this to use a Guitar Hero PS2 SG guitar with guitar hero world tour for PC. While this product says that it is not usable with guitars, it can be used with limited functionality. It registers whatever is plugged into it as a PS3 controller, so keep that in mind. The only issue Ive had with it is that the whammy bar is mapped to the same axis as the strum bar, so whammy is not usable while using this adapter. Otherwise, this product is great and does everything I would possibly want it to do. I would recommend if the whammy bar isnt to important to you (for guitar hero) I cannot speak to its use with actual PS2 controllers or with a PS3.

Hey so I just bought this and all of your Pin Holes are FAULTY, so much so that they even pushed in and broke the Pins on my Brand New PS2 Controller I bought with this!!! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077K9FGRP/ Even one of the Pin holes that doesnt get a Pin is Pre-bent.

Will not operate using a PS1 controller. PS2 controller worked fine. SO... DO NOT purchase this item if you are wanting to check a PS1 controller.

Product doesnt recognize any of my controllers and they do not include any drivers.

Does not work for connecting a ps2 dance pad to the ps3. The ps3 sees the controller, but thinks it is constantly spamming the ps button. Returned it.

If you were hoping that this would work with the Non-dualshock PS1 controller look elsewhere. I recognizes the controller but none of the buttons work, this is only good for the Dualshock.

Good item for ps3 or comtuper games if u got a extra ps1/2 controller

I bought this so I could play clone hero on my PC with old ps2 guitar hero guitar it works perfectly!!!

This adapter works really well. The red octane guitar works well with clone hero and Im sure many other games. Only downfall is that the whammy bar isnt compatible with the adapter, but other than that, its really good.
